The River Mouth Cafe — Restaurant in Tasmania

Hopefully won’t go back. I think it’s fine as a fast, convenient, in and out place. But to sit down and eat there wasn’t ideal for me. The service was not great, one of the servers, the tanned guy in the hawaiian shirt was really grumpy and condescending to us. But you never know, perhaps it was just a one off or because we were asian. The dining was very low key with clutter next to the seating. I honestly didn’t really mind it though, it adds to the quaint and local feeling. The food was priced well and came out at a good time. Well portioned and filing, but quite bland. I ordered a chicken burger with the lot, and I had no expectations because the menu is vague and gives no details, but overall the food was average. The wedges came with sour cream, cheese and salsa which is a strange combination in my opinion. Basically a good place to go if you purely wanna get fed, but maybe not if you’re looking for a more pleasant experience. Really pretty...

Horrific if your not a local don't go near this place. Worst customer service iv ever received. I just got abused by a worker while they walked off on me crying because I was so shocked and horrified by how he was talking to me. Single mum walking down with my baby to get dinner and got abused and yelled at because they had lots of orders and I said I'd tried calling then the guy proceeded to be extremely rude putting me in tears walking away... Came back yelled more then walked back out the back. The other guy just kept his head down out the back no one said sorry or would serve me while I started balling my eyes out. I no for a fact it's because I'm not a local. He doesn't want to serve me and was annoyed that I walked down because they didn't answer the phone. I was polite and remained really nice to him the hole time. Iv literally never experienced anything like...

Won't answer the phone, when i ordered a chicken burger, ate it snd complained there was a bone in it, they reacted badly by demanding there wasn't a bone in it, they apparently cut their chicken up and then offered to show me the chicken, i said sure and he brought the owner out and I'm like ???, Then he starts saying it's 'impossible' that there's bones in it and it might just be gristle. They got offended because i said the burger could have been made abit better....they get offended easily. Front cashier is lame, won't pick the phone up despite spam calling for 10 minutes... it's not hard to pick the bloody thing up. Go to the resort across the road, the f&c shop needs to re arrange it's poor quality management and customer service (0.000001 star rating). Not a good look for someone from another state, just scaring...
