Hugo's Brew and Chew — Restaurant in Tasmania

I visit Hugo's quite regularly. The menu is varied and extensive and there was also a specials board from which to select. I have never been disappointed with the quality of food or service, and in our small town where we actually have a lot of options available, this is my "place of choice". As a single person I frequently pop in on my own, but have to confess that visiting with company is always awkward, if I have selected the venue, because the piped music and the conversation of patrons make holding conversation difficult, which is a shame, given that the Hugo's is a pleasant place to be. So, great place for a meal, not so good...

Usually excellent. Regularly go there . But 3 times not so great forgot a coffee takeaway forgot the iced coffee. Last time ⁰thursday 2nd we left after 15 mins as not served yet noone was needing to be served but us .totally ignored by 2 waitresses who walked straight passed us Thats not good service I feel . Still great amazing place to eat. Highly recommend for all but us it seems . We've always been pleasant but I guess it's just us . We are not in their good books. Dunno why. A small gem in a great Ocean view town. Highly recommend trying out the eggs Benedict selection (sour dough or croissant). The portion sizing is fantastic and is such hardy breakfast you might end up skipping lunch. Wash down breaky with freshly squeezed orange juice or a fantastic barista brewed coffee. Hugo's brew and chew was so good, I ended up revisiting everyday for breakfast before commencing work. The staff were extremely friendly and treated everyone politely even during the lunch time rush.
