The food is always great and the staff are friendly if a little under the pump at times.

Service was prompt for initial drinks and food ordering, but we weren't asked if we wanted any more drinks and these were slow to come when we did ask for them.

I do like being seated rather than just wandering in and table ordering is certainly nicer and more restaurant style than going to the bar. However, there needs to be enough staff for them to cover the tables and groups and those staff need to keep an eye out for empty glasses etc - it's a prime opportunity to sell more product.

The atmosphere is fine for lunch and pub. Three stars shouldn't be considered bad.

To score higher for an evening where people are going out and often for an occasion, means changing to a more restaurant focus. The music should be back ground and restaurant in style and removing the TV...

Ordered a steak naturally wanted gravy on it, seen on the menu they offered lactose free asked if I could get that gravy to be told they don't do that and that my only option for any gravy lactose free I could get the Neapolitan sauce from a parmigiana. No thanks so, I had a dry steak and chips. They kinda also decided that I did not need salad dressing on my salad, I kindly ask if I could have some salad dressing as my meal was already dry enough. The steak was cooked well but I was not satisfied with the meal. Just a tip don't assume what the customer wants if I asked for no salad dressing then fair enough. Hi some of my family visited your hotel on Christmas for Lunch my Brother and myself have been involved with Catering moast of our lives in one way or another I would like to complement you on the way your starf treaded us on the day We sulect a difrent venue each year for Christmas Lunch but my wife and myself said that we will book with you next year and any other meal we will have in the future The food was cooked very good the only thing that wasn't as good was the Lamb need's to have more marbling just a little tough and the other one was My stomach was two small so I couldn't try everything LOL ...
