You treat yourself to some yummy chips and potato cakes WITH chicken salt. You get home... You open the packet of glory... And BOOM! There it is.YUCK! I thought they had accidentally put gravy on everything at first, but on closer inspection, I realised that this is just a well overcooked, mad dog's breakfast. I was GUTTED! Honestly should have seen the red flags from a mile away. The shop smelled like extremely old and dirty fryer oil. We ordered chips and .. yeah. This oil needed to be changed months ago. I could taste every single thing that had been in the deep fryer before our chips. It was so disgusting we had to bin them and wipe down all surfaces the chips (outside packet) had touched, because the stench permeated through everything. After eating a chip and sipping some water, the foul oil stench and taste stuck with my water bottle until I was able to thoroughly clean it (and a week later the aftertaste is still slightly there). Dropped in at Moo Choo on the way to Cradle mountain to sample Moo Choos take away food, had the lamb kebab, was ok, little on the small side, also got some chicken pieces and chips, the chicken was like a rock, didn't eat, chips ok, NOW, we get to paying, i don't mind paying a surcharge if the efpos amount is under $10, but when you get charged $1.30 for any transaction regardless of the price REALLY makes my blood boil. Will not be back and if after the 1st of September when the new laws on surcharges come into force i will be watching you...
