White Rose Cafe — Restaurant in Temora

Used to come here yrs ago, and my husband's uncle and mates would walk up from the airstrip during the war, having a drink and something to eat.. It's hardly changed in decor I believe, and the girls that work there are so friendly and go out of their way to help you.. Meals are varied tasty and good for the price, along with $13.00 lunch specials which are fantastic for anyone on a budget, plus they do good old large fashioned milk shakes which are fantastic in the summer.. Seats are hard as they are old originals, but well worth sitting down at them and watching the kelaidescope of food and people go on by. Food is very good. However. Even though the cook did a valiant job I could see there was only one cook working out the back and the cafe seats about 50! Ladies. If you only have one cook out the back for a shift, close off at least 6 tables. This way people won’t have to wait over an hour for their orders. I saw people get up and ask fir a refund after about 45mins and I didn’t blame them. I personally waited 1hr20min for a wrap! Should have gone to McDonald’s. Same seating capacity but at least 6 people working out the back cooking. This Justifies the seating capacity. Just to be clear. The cook did a great job with the food. But you must Know your limitations. Less cooks should dictate Less tables available for seating. Hope this helps. All the best...

Classic diner experience. Walking in, it has some of the old timey, vaguely bleachy smell, seemingly frequented by seniors and tradies. This is NOT the type of place that visitors put on their social media. It's better.

The staff chat warmly to the regulars, the food is tasty and speaks for itself, and there's lollies on the counters for an impulse buy. No fuss, just some friendly hospitality and convenient, good value food. Had a softdrink, lamb burger (with chargrilled capsicum!) and cappuccino, came to about $18 all up.
