Richie's Bakery — Restaurant in Tewantin

WOW, well I found it so refreshing to know that there's still welcoming friendly people in business these days. Today I had the privilege of being warmly greeted and served by a lovely lady at this bakery. I was almost convinced that hospitable service doesn't exist especially after being served by the rudest staff at a BP near Nambour about an hour before. The store itself is lovely. It's food on display is mouth watering. I bought a couple of pies. Absolutely so tasty and delicious. I had a potato pie and although it was delicious and perfectly crusted top, the base pastry needed a little more cooking. But, I didn't mind as the meat and potatoe was enough to make me forget. I'm only mentioning this because I feel everyone who cooks pies or food this great can understand a tiny criticism. My husband had a curry beef pie. Loved it. And let's not forget about the price. Definitely the best prices I've seen around. Hat's off to this business and the customer service...

Ordered a medium Almond latte there today and the young asian lady took my order. I saw her making a coffee and pouring caramel syrup into it so assumed it was someone else's. When she finished she called out my caramel latte was ready. I told her I ordered an Almond latte very clearly. She apologized and went to remake it and again made a Caramel latte!!!! Third time I clearly asked do you have almond milk as I ordered an almond latte not a caramel latte. Third time she did make an almond latte but it was so scaldingly hot I could not drink it. Should have asked for a refund after the first and second attempt was wrong. She apologized again saying it was her first day but that's irrelevant as she either didn't listen properly or didn't understand. How hard...

I ordered a 40th Bithday cake for my son for this Saturday. Went into the shop on the Friday to make sure everything was ok with my order, after 5mins they found it.. They told me they were open till 5pm on the Satuday and asked me what time I'd like to pick up the cake? So I said ok around 3pm. I checked with again about the closing time and again she said 5pm. Great! I turned up a 3pm on Saturday for my cake and low and behold...the bloody shop was shut!! No phone call, norhing. Never ever again will I be shopping there and I'll be telling everybody I know not to order things...
