Bang Bang in Phillip Island is like the ultimate food spot! It's got this killer fusion vibe going on with Asian-inspired dishes that are totally awesome. Think Salt and Pepper Tofu or the Vegan Red Curry, and dive into the ocean's bounty with fresh Octopus and Oysters. And their service? Totally gnarly. The staff are super chill and make sure you're sorted. Plus, they've got a rad selection of craft beers and cocktails to go with your meal. And here's the best part: it's pet-friendly! So your furry pals can join in on the fun too. With heaters keeping things cozy, it's all about good vibes and epic eats at Bang Bang. In a nutshell, Bang Bang is where it's at! Whether you're local or just passing through, you gotta hit up this spot for a taste of the raddest grub on Phillip Island!

A decent option for those around Phillip Island looking for a vegan option that isn't hot chips. My partner got the vegan curry and I got the salt and pepper tofu. The curry was nice, with plenty of textures and a satisfying serve. I found the salt and pepper tofu a bit lacking, there wasn't much 'salt and pepper'iness to it, and the soy sambal sauce was a bit too salty. The atmosphere was nice, music was a little too loud in the dining area for comfortable conversation. (I'm aware this makes me sound like an old person!) Overall, a decent option for the vegans, but might be a better if you get a steak or fish.

My wife & I along with my niece & her husband went along for a wonderful lunch @ Bang Bangs last weekend. My wife had the freshly shucked oysters, we all shared in the duck spring roll which was amazing, the double roasted duck was even better & the Gippsland Scotch Fillet was cooked to perfection. The girls then shared the pork “roll ups” & the charred octopus. We all loved our meals, the service great and our compliments were given to the chef for a brilliant job. Bang Bangs is recommended by us for anyone who loves the asian flavours and for anyone who wants to try. You won’t be disappointed.

Very disappointing. We’ve been coming to PI for years and eat out most nights and this is one of the worst restaurants on the island. Whilst the staff were friendly (if not exactly attentive) the food was dreadful. I challenge anyone to find any sign of duck in the Duck Spring Rolls, which were served with soy sauce for dipping instead of nuoc cham. The Pork Roll Ups were OK, if flavourless. The Chargrilled Octopus hadn’t been within ten feet of a chargrill and came with a very bland romesco that had zero hint of chilli. We followed that up with the Red Curry…well, I can cook better myself. It was also bland and tasted like it had come out of a jar. There were supposed to be oyster mushrooms in it - we found one single, solitary one - and instead found a few slices of shiitake mushrooms, which I am allergic to. I have no issue with paying good money for good food, but this was NOT good value in any way. I definitely will not be back and can recommend a dozen better places to eat to anyone that’s thinking of eating here. If I had to sum up my experience in a word, it...

Where every detail feels, just right.

From the moment you step inside, Bang Bang delivers an experience that feels both elevated and warmly familiar.

Let me start with the service is, unreal - attentive without being overbearing, the kind of genuine hospitality that makes you feel looked after from start to finish.

The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance: delightfully homely and familiar, yet open whilst remaining intimate, giving you a sense of comfort while still feeling like you’re somewhere special. The music matching the aesthetic, and at an appropriate level.

When it comes to the food, it’s truly unmatchable. Every dish is crafted with care, bursting with flavour and perfectly presented. You’ll find yourself wanting to try everything on the menu, and honestly, you can’t go wrong - the recommendations are untouched, each one living up to the hype.

All in all, Bang Bang is a solid place to eat and one of those rare finds that combines exceptional food, service, and atmosphere in equal measure.

A must-visit...

Food was amazing but not as much choice as other Bang Bang restaurants. Our waitress, a brunette, was fun and very enthusiastic. Our cocktails were very disappointing. The chili margaritas tasted like chemicals and the gin fizz smelled like a wet dog. The waitress was happy to give us a different drink. When we went to pay, the blonde bartender said we drank more than half of the gin fizz and wouldn't take it off the bill. Then she proceeded to say it was the egg in the drink that made it smell, which was on the menu and it wasn't on the menu. She was very rude and arguing with us. She finally decided to take the drink off our bill. But when we went to pay she ignored us and walked away. We thought the charge had gone through so we started to leave. She yelled across the bar for us to stop which was very embarrassing. We thought our payment had gone through because she walked away from us. This bartender does not have good customer service skills and should be trained better or find a...
