Black Caviar Cafe — Restaurant in Victoria

Hidden potential here. We popped in for Brunch at the Black Caviar Café where you can eat inside or out. Outside, on the deck, gives you stunning views over the lake, which in itself is worth the visit. The large café was buzzing with customers when we arrived however getting a seat was no trouble as many took their orders to go or went out on the deck. I placed my simple order of an egg and bacon roll and a coffee at the register. Both the roll and the coffee were excellent and I would order them again if I was in town. What let our experience down was timings of our food and drink items and the cleanliness of the table that we were asked to sit at. The Coffee came within a few minutes of ordering but the meal was to be about 15 minutes away. I also felt a bit sorry for the Chef as he was calling service but his requests went unanswered. I saw him deliver one meal to a table on the deck then when he was calling for service for my meal, I just went up and got it. The few staff I saw were congregated around the register however I saw no one close to, or directly assisting the chef. This slowed the whole process down. We were looking for somewhere nice to have a good breakfast while in Nagambie and first cafe for us to come across the the Black Caviar Cafe. It looked inviting so in we went. We would have loved to sit outside on the deck but it was blowing a gale so we were forced inside. Food and coffee was ordered and arrived promptly. Why is it that many places now serve toast unbuttered with wrapped butter on the side? And eggs not served on the toast? But the poached eggs were cooked perfectly. Bacon could have been cooked slightly longer but that's my personal preference. Coffee was smooth and hot. I opted for an ice coffee with ice cream and it was very good. Service was friendly. Couldn’t raise a smile or even a hello out of either staff

Wish I had of read the reviews before I came to this pitiful excuse of a cafe

Owners obviously uninterested as they have never replied to a single review
