Response to the owner: thanks for the reply and addressing my areas of concern, I do appreciate it. And I'll be looking forward to coming back again when I'm in the area :) This review is mainly about the pizza, but I’ll start with the beer. The standard lager that Burra brews themselves was surprisingly good. If I had to rate the beer, it’s a solid 5/5 — I thoroughly enjoyed it, even though I’m not usually a big beer drinker. To start with the positives: the beer wasn’t overly bitter, and it had fruity notes with a fresh, clean, and crisp finish. It’s the kind of beer even non-beer drinkers could enjoy. Onto the pizza. I ordered the large Hawaiian pizza, which was $22 — a price I found quite reasonable. The pizza, however, fell short in one key area: the cheese. While the cheese was properly melted and cooked (as you can see in the photo), it was a bit too thick and lacked that stretchy, gooey texture you’d typically expect. On my first slice, the cheese was especially chewy and hard to break down in the mouth. That said, I might’ve just gotten unlucky with that slice — but even with the other slices, the cheese still had some resistance when chewing and felt slightly dry overall. On the plus side, the crust was crisp, and the base held up well without being too floppy. The pineapple and sauce tasted fresh, and each slice of pineapple was deliciously sweet. The leg ham was quite tasty too — it reminded me a bit of pastrami, in a good way. I like pastrami. Overall, I think the pizza could be greatly improved by addressing the cheese. It seems to be the only component holding it back. That said, if you’re just here for the beer, these guys are fantastic.

Beers here are fantastic for a rural brewery, the Hazy Mosaic was the pick of the bunch with all of them very drinkable. It was a nice finish to some big hiking days at Wilsons Promontory. Food wise, the hot & spicy pizza was delicious and the gluten free base was good quality. But the Aussie and meat lovers pizzas had way too much ham and bacon stacked up, the bacon could have been cooked off a bit before stacking, and the Aussie pizza hardly had any egg. Really nice venue with a great outdoor setting with cool succulent plants and a herb garden out the front, and a big open warehouse with all the brewing equipment on display while dining in. The wheelchair lift is a great touch and shows a good sense of inclusion. Overall a good experience and I would recommend to people travelling through this region to visit.

We were recommended to check this place out for dinner. We were told they had good pizzas and hotdogs. Beer is ok, have tasted better at other breweries, pizza is so so, nothing to shout about. Hotdogs were disappointing. The buns were well burned! When we complain to the staff, an awfully rude racist staff in the kitchen shouted “all they want is their money back! Just give it back & send them on their way”. This clearly shows their inability to accept or are thankful for a feedback from customers. Let alone any apologies for delivering such shocking presentation. Never ever stepping into this place again. Will of course share this encounter of ours with everyone we meet. LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO BE EATING BURNED HOTDOGS!
