Cafe Evviva — Restaurant in Victoria

Our family used to come here for breakfast once a week and either lunch or dinner once a week. Majority of the staff here are amazing and we cannot fault them for their friendliness and service. We even keep in contact with a few of them outside of the cafe as friends. Although there's one staff member that seems to have taken a disliking to us since we put in a complaint to another staff member about his disrespectful attitude towards us when we ended up getting our own water from the fridge and putting in our order at the counter after waiting half an hour to be served (during a quiet period). Due to this one staff member we have unfortunately made the decision to stop coming here. There's only so much disrespectful attitude we can take before we take our money elsewhere. This has always been a safe place for us to come and maybe we will come back again, but it will be when this one staff member isn't working. The other staff are aware of his attitude but we believe that due to him being related to the owners, nothing gets done about it. Again, the other staff are amazing. On Thursday 19th September 2024. My partner took me out to dinner at Cafe Evviva - Ristorante Italiano at Post Office Entrance Stockland Traralgon after my long drive.

At first when we walked in and Heidi was friendly, well mannered when welcoming / greeting us, gave us menus and organised a clean table us to sit down.

Sonya took our order One Garlic Focaccia, Pizza Polpette - Tomato sauce, mozzarella, Nonna’s meat balls, salami and provolone cheese and Prosciutto Pizza - Ev olive oil, mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, prosciutto, shaved grana padano and fresh rocket and one can of Coke.

Sonya cheerfully brought our woodfire pizza out, while Amy kindly brought our drink to the table.

However Joe was happily preparing and cooking all the food, woodfire pizzas in the background.

Steven took payment from my partner at the end.

The food was delicious, expensive, but definitely worth the price. Plenty of left overs for my partner to take to work as well.

This place was always a favourite for myself, my wife and my 2 year old. New menu change is a little lacklustre. Very good atmosphere. The problem is the two young guys that work there. The one with the red hair always seems lost and will out right ignore customers, and the one with the darker hair feels like he goes out of his way to be a smart alec. This morning (18th June 2024) was the last straw. Came up with a tablet and asked for our order. Even asked how I wanted my eggs. 50 minutes later I still had not received my food. My wife and son had 35 minutes earlier though. I go up and ask another waitress if there is a problem with my order, only to be told my order was not put through. I have been coming here for years, but today will be the last time as this was the last straw. That young guy needs an attitude adjustment before more customers stop coming.
