Disgusting judgement from staff for poor people. My mum came dropped off my son, myself and 2 other people came to check in and they helped me carry my bags up, then 2 other people (from one family) came over around 7pm to check on me, because I had explained to staff I was staying their for safety reasons as I couldn’t stay at home because I was getting assaulted. All they could say was ‘oh but how do we know you won’t bring trouble here’…. Then when I booked another night they rudely knocked on my door at 10am said it was passed checkout time, and they saw I booked another night but ‘I wasn’t aloud to stay’ as I went down stairs to ask their reasoning, they made up any excuse they could as to why I couldn’t stay, that their were people walking up and down the rooms looking for me, (when I was their to hide, because I was getting assaulted at home) nobody knew where I was, or that I even wasn’t home except the people that I explained earlier in the review. I asked them to show camera footage, to back up their accusations, they said they didn’t know roughly what time.. I told them who had come up and it was only 2 visitors. Before 8:30. It was just me and my son in the room. They had something along the lines of ‘they looked like they were going to cause trouble’… in other words, I’m poor and I had bruising on my face, and my support system is poor too and we don’t exactly dress in Gucci ect. They made their assumption, they judged me, and refused service because I didn’t look up to their standards neither did my visitors. Disgusting behaviour as I was a paying visitor, and was escaping violence at home. Don’t go there if you don’t look like you make a million dollars a year, because they are judgemental and will refuse service to you...
Read moreWe stayed here about 11 years ago when the motel had only recently opened, and on our return trip earlier this year everything still looked brand new. The rooms, Reception area, etc were spotless. We stayed in a standard deluxe suite which gives you a small kitchenette, but if you want more space or more extensive cooking facilities, just choose one of the larger rooms. ||||Ample off street parking is available, and the motel is within walking distance to the shopping area of Traralgon if you need to pick up any supplies. A (free) guest laundry is also available for the rooms which do not contain their own laundry facilities.||Extra facilities such as a pool and BBQ area are available, although we did not use these.||||Bridges on Argyle is the perfect place to stay for a couple of nights or...
Read moreWe stayed at Bridges in February on a Saturday evening. The Restaurant was closed, and so the Receptionist talked us through the options, including ordering supper of our choice from a restaurant and delivering it to our room. She could not do enough to help us. The room included a kitchenette, which was well designed, as was the bathroom, which I believe had a hand held shower as well as a rain shower. The Room was generally was very spacious and comfortable; we wished we could have spent another night there. The icing on the cake was that the staff so kindly sent on a pair of earrings that I had left behind...free of charge! Wonderful service. Thank you Bridges on Argyle, we recommend you without hesitation...
