Degani Shepparton earns a resounding five stars for its inspired food and welcoming ambiance. The Eggs Benedict was a triumph, with perfectly poached eggs nestled atop golden English muffins, all crowned by a hollandaise sauce so rich and velvety it practically danced across the plate. It’s the kind of dish that sets the tone for a fantastic day.
The pancakes with ice cream were a delightful treat, offering a nostalgic sweetness that felt both indulgent and comforting. The imitation syrup, while not real maple syrup, was impressively close—it had the flavor notes to convince you for a moment, but just enough distinction to remind you it wasn’t the real deal. A curious balance, and somehow, it worked beautifully.
The space itself is stunning—light-filled and airy, creating an inviting atmosphere perfect for a relaxing meal or a lively conversation. It got me thinking about The Velvet Fedora, my dream bar, and how I’d want to emulate this kind of warmth and charm.
Degani Shepparton delivers on all fronts: inspired food, a beautiful setting, and an experience worth savoring. Truly a gem in the heart of...
Read moreWalked in at 10am. Was seated inside and ordered food about 5 minutes later. Cappuccino came about 20 minutes later, meal 15 minutes after. No knives/ forks and napkins given to us. I had to go find them myself. Forgotten chocolate frappe, came out just as my child was finishing his meal. No 'sorry about delay', just slapped on the table and the guy took off. Otherwise food was delicious so I'll give thumbs up to the chef that seemed to be working out the back all on his lonesome while 6 staff were out the front, 2 staff only keeping a eye on tables. Most tables were left dirty by time leaving. After paying for meal to a girl that looked less than impressed for me asking for a receipt, I noticed customers had come and were cleaning the tables off themselves so that they could sit down. Both son and I have decided to not go back for the time being. Looks like delegation of tasks, time management and teamwork need to be...
Read moreIt was before lunch and after breakfast, so seated straight away. Ordering, my wife asked for 3 specific changes and 2 of them didn't eventuate. My 'lamb hash' was nothing of the sort. It came out as though it was 2 nights ago lamb roast that had been mashed into patties. I felt like showing them an actual picture of the dish. And it tasted like it was from 2 nights ago too. So, for being the 2nd most expensive item on the breakfast menu I wasnt particularly happy. The best thing on the plate was the spinach. I asked for scrambled eggs and they came out tasteless. Okay with some salt and pepper but, you know, season it a bit. I was lucky to score some bacon off my wifes plate. Or else I would be shitty and hungry. Shungry. Coffee was pretty good. Ive been to this Degani multiple times and they are usually better than this. Mostly. Better than their version of a lamb...
