A great little Cafe bakery tucked away in a small country town. Well worth the deviation off the highway. Great food made on the premises. So much to choose from we bought pies to takeaway too. Staff were friendly and helpful. Trade was busy but not too packed out so lovely to sit and chat. Really can't say enough good things about this place. Lovely atmosphere and a very friendly black cat at the door to greet us. Loved it.

We had lunch here during the Ballan Autumn Festival. I ordered a sandwich with gluten free bread, which I fully expected to be the sliced white supermarket bread that other cafes use. I was amazed when they brought out an actual baguette! It was sooo good, reminded me of eating in Europe! They also have gluten free arancini and pizza! Please add gluten free chips to your menu, they'd go amazing with this!

Perfect way to enjoy a warm evening with family over a delicious share platter, pizzas, ciders and wine. Highly recommend making a trip from Ballarat on a warm evening to enjoy their great food , drinks and outdoor dining areas. But, potentially book, as almost all the outdoor tables were reserved. Thanks to the team for a wonderful evening.

We recently had the pleasure of both dining and enjoying a special pinot and picasso event at Hank & Heidi's, and I can confidently say that it was one of the best wine bar experiences I have ever had, anywhere in the world. From the moment we walked in the door, my husband and I were blown away by the exceptional service and attention to detail that the staff took to make it a really memorable experience.

The staff were simply outstanding. Every member of staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had a wonderful time. They were always on hand to offer recommendations, answer any questions, and make sure that we had everything we needed.

The menu was varied and creative, and everything we had was just beautiful. You can tell that so much care has been put into every detail - from the coffee, to the wine, to the cheese platters -it was all perfect! Overall, I cannot recommend Hank & Heidi's enough. Thanks Emilie -...

What a fantastic find in this cute country town. With a bit of time up our sleeves we made the best decision to take a few minutes drive off the highway to Ballan instead of driving on further. Even better decision was stopping at Hank and Heidi’s. This is such an asset to this town. Next time we will stop for longer- lunch or dinner. The young teenage fellow who served us was gorgeous and such a hard worker with a lovely smile, and the lady who made our coffee was also lovely and made the perfect coffee and treats for our pit stop. The owner of H&H should be so proud of this beautiful business- the building, the atmosphere and the friendly service. Places like this make county towns. Can’t wait to return. Next time pizzas, drinks..and photos to post on...

A nice little place and good atmosphere, however prices are extremely high for a cafe in a small town. And saying that the sweet cakes and scrolls are always so dry. Need a little less flour and a little more moisture in their recipes. The pastries are nice, but overpriced! I get needing to make a profit in this economy but $14 for a zucchini slice the size of a matchbox is criminal. Also the staff seem to have no idea what they're doing half the time, we ordered two pumpkin tarts and the young man at the counter only put through one, so we had to wait another 10 minutes after getting the first one for the other to come out. And I ordered an iced caramel latte and it came out with no caramel!! They all seem a bit flustered and vague. Sorry to be the...
