The Gateway Hotel is a well-maintained hotel that is located in a convenient location. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel offers a range of amenities and services, including on-site dining and meeting facilities. While the hotel is not particularly luxurious or upscale, it is a good choice for travelers who are looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay. The hotel is also reasonably priced, making it a good option for budget-conscious travelers.

One potential downside of the Gateway Hotel is that it does not offer many frills or extras. While the rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, they are not particularly luxurious. Additionally, the hotel does not offer many amenities beyond the basics, such as a fitness center or spa. However, for travelers who are looking for a simple and straightforward place to stay, the Gateway Hotel is a good choice.

Overall, the Gateway Hotel is a solid option for travelers who are looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay. While it may not be the most luxurious or upscale hotel in the area, it offers good value for the price and is well-maintained and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the hotel is located in a convenient location near many attractions...

The kids wanted buffet for lunch today and thanks to google we found Feast at the Gateway Hotel, Corio whilst on a getaway.

Tried to book online no availability until the evening. Pooled our luck with the old fashioned direct phone call, and told to come on down.

Very basic buffet menu, reminds me of my childhood buffet only no prawn cocktail!

Kids were happy, very happy! Pork crackling a super hit as was most of the hot servery.

Dessert bar took it next level for the 2 12yr old boys who thankfully still classed as kids (under 13!) Think self serve ice-cream, choc sauce, rocky road, sticky pudding, chantilly cream and that’s just the 1st visit!

Many of the dishes were left to run low which was a tad disappointing as did not complete the buffet visual effect. Had to ask for certain items which you really shouldn’t if not so busy.

Overall a nice vibe considering a Monday. Basketball was featuring on a big screen so kids chuffed! Kids even took a few minutes in the kids area.

Drinks are additional to the price but not at all an issue, good pricing.

Probably definitely only go with/for kids or large family group, but worth it!

We did not stay at the property or walk through, other than the restaurant.

As a previous employee here the patrons are absolutely amazing however when you work for them that is a different story. Management being a toxic culture that encourage homophobia racism bullying and installing fear and detriment to mental health and wellbeing. They also manipulate the time sheets and cards to keep you under 6 hours and lie to say you have had a break when you actually don't so they don't have to pay you overtime. Mandy is a stand off manager who is aggressive and verbally abusive in a way that makes you question your sanity and if you are doing wrong and all you get told by other managers and staff is it is just Mandy take it with a grain of salt and its all in your head. They also make inappropriate comments about your personal life and relationships. the staff and management talk about some patrons behind their backs and make not okay comments but they will be nice to your face. there is a few ethical people that work there and the reason so many staff leave the gateway is there is literally no support from Australian Leisure and Hospitality Group and Endeavour Group and they allow this toxic bullying homophobic and racist management and employees to run the place themselves and deny and victim blame...

I had a disappointing experience at Gateway Hotel. When we arrived around 7:10 PM, we requested a specific seating arrangement which is corner of any of the side. However, the young staff member at the reception—a young white girl—refused to give us a table on one side and instead directed us to sit at table 15, located awkwardly in the walkway. This made it uncomfortable to enjoy our meal. When we questioned why we couldn’t sit elsewhere, she claimed there were "a lot of bookings" and no other available seats, even though the restaurant was largely empty and only one family came in after us. The response felt dismissive, and it felt like our comfort was overlooked. Overall, we left feeling unwelcome and disappointed with the seating arrangements and lack of attentiveness to our preference.

Haven't been here in a long time and recently went, pleasantly surprised! To have fresh prawns included in the price is a huge bonus and most of the food is really well made! Being a buffet of course some stuff sits out long and isn't the best when you have it but the variety is great and when it's fresh it's really delicious. The desserts also stand out on their own, never had sticky date pudding that was so light! Will definitely go back.
