Our bike riding group called into Henrietta’s today, for a well earned coffee and eats, after enjoying a pleasant cycling experience from Leongatha to Meeniyan and back along the Great Southern Rail Trail.
The ambience was very welcoming and relaxing and the cafe was buzzing with great vibes and energy.
Accomodating a group of 7 can be difficult when arriving unannounced at a busy time. Fortunately, one of the friendly locals came to our rescue and invited us to share her table.
The coffee and food that followed was spot on and the 60’s /70’s music playing in the background complimented the setting.
Henrietta’s also has quite a diverse range of Nik Naks available for purchase.

Read moreOh dear! Random selection from several coffee spots open on January 4th. Bit of a queue. Ordered a coffee and a Chai. Asked about gluten free nibbles. Not hard to choose. Florentines or nothing. Drinks arrived at our outside table but no Florentines. Pointed this out but still no Florentines. Went inside to get them and cashier / order taker was in a tizz to verify the claim. Had to be instructed to give them to me in a bag.
Then we started our refreshments. Coffee and Chai passed muster, but.... Lipstick was not on the pig. It was on the cups. Both of them!

Each time I have been delighted to have fresh scones, delicate crust on the outside and soft and yielding on the inside. The jam is delicious and the cream divine. Proper double cream!
