Wow. Where do I start! The rooms are very old fashioned but a lovely room overall - however the room I stayed was really small and did not accommodate for kids. The shower was horrible unless you like a dribble ! And you have NO DOONA!!! yes you heard me right, no doona! you get 2 sheets and blanket thing. You have no eating items (plates, knife, forks, etc) and everything in the bar fridge has been left in the heat and then refrigerated and then left in the heat again and then refrigerated god knows how many times!!!. Next was the lady at the reception: I have NEVER EVER met someone that is so horrible, inconsiderate and rude. 1stly she expected my husband and his mate to move my car (they both had alcohol in their hand) I was inside changing my son who had a dirty nappy (hes 1) when she come over and quite abruptly told him to move the car over hearing this I had my keys ready. I finished changing his nappy to find her back outside and I quote "look for the 3rd time I wont tell you again. Move your car or you can vacate the room ". One I was doing it two you didnt say it was URGENT as their was NO ONE else in the car park nor was there for the next two days. My next encounter with her was when my son threw up over the sheets. When I went to reception to ask for more sheets I got told in not so many words "it's not my problem get lost" she had no intentions on giving me a clean sheet for the bed until I got a firmer voice and said "you cant expect me to sleep In sheets with vomit she told me "house keeping doesnt come until 8.30am and she has nothing she can give me" finally she gave me some sheets in her own time as she clearly prioritises herself over her customers. My last encounter was to drop the key back, I politely asked if we had done anything wrong as she was incredibly rude and I think an apology was in order. Her answer to me was that no she doesn't like being ignored, and she gave us plenty of time to move the car - I replied with 5 mins. She stopped me and said it was at least 8 mins. I mean come on that's just petty. And then continued to say there were two guys sitting doing nothing - I said they were both drinking? Because its "private property" it's fine to drink and drive ?? Please if you can find other accommodation... do it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looking at other reviews that the receptionist has replied to, apparently the customer is always in the wrong and it's never her fault so I'll be interested to see what you reply to my message. By the way thank you for walking away while I was still talking to you about how...
Read moreAfter reading reviews i thought i would try to put to rest some of the bad reviews we had read. To be honest, we booked the motel as we were staying there at the last minute to work in a neighbouring town's festival, so without looking at reviews prior we were on our way to spend 3 days there and i started reading them and were beginning to worry...
This review is about "our experience"...
The owner was extremely accommodating to my initial call ( i had called a few times as i was trying to organise the weekend and work ) to book the room and was never rude, the lady even helped us with directions, if we needed. As well as that we were turning up late ( after 9pm ) to the motel and was very helpful.
We booked the $90 room.. We had no issues at all and it suited us just fine. We didnt expect a first class 5 star resort but we were more than satisfied with the room.
Room was clean, no odours, air-conditioner worked without a hitch, seemed like it had a modern bar fridge, the shower worked no problems and instructions are just for those who need it. The wireless internet via WiFi was extremely fast ( 18-20 mps for the geeks out there ), so its more than perfect for checking email and surfing the web.
We paid for what we used in the fridge ( mini bar ) with no unexpected surprises in the end.
Rooms were cleaned during our 3 day stay immaculately.
We also had our young 16 month child stay and our little puppy and we had a peaceful time sleeping and were even offered a porta-cot if we needed.
Lastly, as we left to go home, we realised we forgot an item in the room... I called the lady ( owner ) and they even posted out our item and we received it in perfect condition.
This is not a paid advertisement. We stayed there for the LOCH Festival which was on the Labour Day weekend on Saturday 11th March 2017.
So sometimes, reviews are a risk to read and a chance you take.
Thank you for service and we will be back again for all the work we do in the area...
Read moreIt gives me no pleasure to write this review. I lived in Leongatha for more than 25 years and am very passionate about promoting the town, sadly this motel is without doubt the WORST customer service I have EVER experienced. I phoned to book a room for this Saturday night as we are attending a function at the nearby football club. The receptionist was the rudest person I have ever encountered. I asked to book a room with queen sized bed and due to the Phillp island Moto GP I was informed the motel was very busy. I was offered a Budget room for $95. My immediate response was surprise as I'd seen the rack rate of $80, I answered wow, OK. I was then berated and told I could look elsewhere! I replied that no that was fine but before I had the chance to fully explain my response I was told" you know what I do the like your attitude you should try somewhere else " and was hung up on. I called back to apologise and explain my response but was once again told I had a bad attitude, I called back once again as by now I was in total shock. Was told no rooms available hung up on again!!!!! I am a very non confrontational person and this incident has upset me greatly. Fortunately I am lucky enough to know many local people so will be doing my utmost to ensure as many people as possible are aware of this customer service. I will share this via social media and via Trip advisor. Small towns rely heavily on small business' to build the towns reputation and sadly this business is doing the total opposite. Tool of the year hereby awarded to the...
