Wouldn't bother with this one especially if you've got young kids. Quiet Monday night and the meal still took over 1:15 hr. Had the chicken Parma with chips and vegies and the seafood pasta. The Parma was ok, nothing to rave about. The chips were Luke warm and the vegies were very so so. The pasta at least was hot but if you're not into garlic then don't go this one as it's hard to taste the meal over the garlic, it's been smashed by it. The prawns were way overcooked till they were soft and mushy and the whole meal was covered in those cheap shrimp they put on pizzas, heaps of them, like more than a hundred. The girl that delivered our meal apologized for it being late but you could tell she didn't give a rat's really. Starting in the sports bar whilst waiting the service was great with the selection of drinks offered being reasonable.
The lads on the bar were really friendly and attentive to us and the other patrons. We were led to our table in the clean and spacious bistro.
We ordered the special Sri Lankan curry, the specials Kiev, the pumpkin soup and the fettuccine carbonara. Meals were typical pub food without any frills. My Kiev was tasty but the combination of rice with garlic sauce on top was a little too much.
The fettuccine was a little bit of a miss as with the Sri Lankan curry but the kilpatrick oysters were fresh and tasty (although with bbq sauce and not Worcestershire).

Read moreWe come in for dinner I ordered a scotch but I received a porterhouse which is only meant to come with the mixed grill it’s not even an option to order but I think the arrogant chef would have though we wouldn’t notice even though there is a pretty big difference not only was it the wrong steak but it was cooked as well done when it was ordered as medium. Another person that joined us for dinner also ordered the scotch his was double the size of mine and he ordered it as medium yet he received it blue he couldn’t even eat it.
