We normally enjoy getting KFC, and the last couple of times have been pretty good. Tonight however was the worst experience we have had from KFC anywhere.
We ordered through the app, 2 meals and a go bucket. As we always do we changed the make up of the meals but it never costs us more. My son wanted a salad with his meal, when I selected it did nothing to the price of his meal as I added it to the order.
The total came to nearly 40 dollars, I checked the cost of each meal and it only came 30, there was nothing that made it add up to the 40 I was apparently supposed to pay.
I asked the person at the window why it was 40 who had no idea, got her manager who promptly told me the order was 40 again because it's what I ordered. She said it must have been the salad.
I told her I was not advised it would cost me extra to add the salad to the meal. It was just an option. Her explanation was whatever I key in the app is what it is, no real explanation and just waived down to the next window where I said take the salad out, she did, then keyed normal orders without the other changes we asked for and handed us the food.
Once I had everything the manager shut the window and loudly said "That was ridiculous" and while probably commenting about the overall situation one can't help but believe it is aimed at them.
When I got home my son's meal was missing one of the items (popcorn chicken).
The food was pretty good for fast food, as it is most times, but KFC if your going to allow people to change your meals and it costs more, you need to say that in the app before making the change and not just whack extra on the total.
And as for the manager, having worked in customer service for a very long time myself, I understand it can be hard, but if a customer asks a question you answer it, not blow it off; and if somethings not right you fix it politely, not appear as if it is the worlds biggest problem.
Finally keep your remarks for private, I don't need to hear how ridiculous I was or the situation was or whatever you meant by that comment.
It won't stop us eating KFC, but we certainly deserve better service and when you or the company you represent stuffs up, maybe an appology might be a...
Read moreTerrible place.. Staff are absolutely rude and untrained. I waited in line for over 25mins to be told that that ive got to back in line to reorder.. situation was that we ordered on the app and they didn't have the patience to let me just make the payment. I didn't complete it only coz I wanted to swap an item. The staff was untrained to find the order I wanted to make. I said please let me pay and was told to go back in line by two staff. I refused and told the staff Archer that we usually don't have any issues when ordering in Melbourne and he rudely responded "this is not Melbourne", I wonder what training is given to staff when faced in these situations. Like u would have read yes I understand my words may have triggered an unpleasant conversation when I said I didn't have to face such an experience in Melbourne but it's a fact we dont in Melbourne but Archers response is definitely not going to help the situation. It only took 30secs more for my payment and to show the order. Another manager came to the rescue and helped us. It's clear with the wait that the staff are overworked and could be the reason for this experience but nevertheless it cannot be an excuse to compromise on good...
Read moreAbsolutely disgusting service. The two young boys at the front were madly packing food while a female ordered them around. As the inside line grew in length, it was easy to see the cars move quickly through the drive through. Obviously the customers who've made the effort to walk in aren't as important. And to top it all off, the female could be heard clearly telling one of the young boys to "only serve two people and then get back to helping". Thankfully we were the second in line. As we were being served, the female could be heard telling the other young kid "watch him and make sure he's only serving two people, or you'll be working on your own". Obviously this place isn't being staffed appropriately. Well done to the young boys who continued to work under such appalling conditions. Hope you don't become negatively affected by the way you are...
