My Dad took the family here for dinner last night. I had the chefs special which was advertised as Lime & Chilli fish. The fish bites were soft and had way too much sweet and sour sauce in them. The asian wok tossed vegetables which accompanied the fish appeared like they had some from a packet and I was really disappointed in the whole dish.. was expecting something fresh and healthy. Other family members stuck with fish and chips, lamb shoulder, pork belly and really enjoyed their meals. The kids Hawaiian pizza looked so unappetising .. it was over cooked and I think my kids could have done a better job. Pre made straight out a box job. How hard is it to buy frozen bases and add fresh toppings? The staff were attentive when we first arrived however this unfortunately dropped off after we’d been served our mains. We had to try to get the waitresses attention a few times for more water, kids desserts and a dessert menu etc. We finished the night off with coffees which arrived without spoons or sugars on the side of the plates. There are no kids play areas so bring your own activities and is really hard to hear people if you are on a long table rather than a round one. Not bad but...
Read moreWe hadn’t been to Trackside for years . Previously had found the food to be very ordinary. This time we were very impressed. The staff were really friendly , Great relaxed atmosphere and the food was fabulous !! Very reasonably priced . They don’t have seniors meals, but they do offer half serves which works out similar . The half serves are a great size and just enough to fill the spot . I definitely recommend you put this place on your list If ever you’re in the area . The only reason this place didn’t get five stars , is the outdoors undercover area with tables and chairs is definitely not meant for a bony bum to sit on. The chairs are all steal slats so I would recommend booking in the bistro as the seats are very uncomfortable. This place is also wheelchair accessible. Nice and spacious in the bistro , lots of gaming machines to choose from and for a wheelchair , good...
Read moreThis place was average. The food was actually pretty nice, at a pub standard. The atmosphere is very bistro with one large impersonal feeling room. We were happy enough to eat there until we were rudely barked at by a gruff blond headed woman behind the bar, with absolutely no tact what so ever we were told we had walked through the wrong door to enter the restaurant section. Some of the staff there were nice enough, but most walked around with scowling faces, seemingly bored and not wishing to interactive with customers. I guess because they don’t have to take your order they feel they don’t need to put on a smile. I won’t go back, but not because of the food, ‘compliments to the chef’. It would strictly be because of the unacceptable rudeness of the woman behind the bar. If you appreciate good service then I advise giving...
