The ham and salad sandwich from Lancefield’s bakery is a classic combination of fresh ingredients that is sure to satisfy any sandwich lover's cravings. The bread is reportedly fresh and soft, and the ham is said to be of high quality, making for a delicious and filling meal.

What sets this sandwich apart, however, is the freshness of the salad. The fresh lettuce, tomato, and other vegetables provide a crisp and refreshing crunch, and add an extra layer of nutrition to the meal. The combination of the savory ham and the fresh salad is a perfect balance of flavors, making this sandwich a great option for those who want a satisfying and healthy meal.

Overall, the ham and salad is a great choice for anyone looking for a delicious and nutritious meal on the go. With fresh ingredients and a classic flavor combination, this sandwich is sure to be a hit with sandwich lovers...

We decided to go for a pleasant, Sunday afternoon drive from South Morang. We chose Lancefield because it still has a country feel to it despite its proximity to Melbourne.

After walking along the main street of town we decided to have lunch at the Lancefield Bakery. Between us we had a chilli pie, Cornish pastie and jam donuts, washed down with a tea and a coffee.

Everything was first rate. Despite it being quite busy when we arrived, we were greeted by friendly, helpful staff and managed to find a table for two inside. The array of cakes and pastries in the display cases was mouth watering and the prices were very reasonable.

The only minor downside for us was that they had sold out of curry pies. ā˜¹ļø But that just gives us an excuse to return...

Usually all experiences at the Lancefield Bakery are 5 star.

However, recently they have changed certain bakery items to delivered frozen products that are sub-par. Namely the croissants and a few others. Due to the extra handling, this has resulted in price increases on inferior products to what they used to provide.

Luckily a lot of their products are still the high standard we are used to and are made in house.

It would be extremely disappointing if the business were to outsource more of their work. Instead they should focus on providing high quality products that the community...

On the way home and searching for a bakery. Lancefield Bakery had the whole package - well laid out with a clear queue layout and plenty of service staff to keep it moving. Plenty of typical bakery items, cakes, pies, slices, breads and made to order sandwiches. I ordered a chilli pie and saw it was a low profile pie but it redeemed itself by only being $4.90!! Comparative pies in nearby regional centres are &6+. The pie pastry was soft (obviously fresh) and it was filled to the top with a filling that had a subtle level of chilli. Well done folks no wonder it is popular

Half decent country pie although very sloppy and messy as the pastry wasn’t particularly solid. Staffed by young locals (I’m guessing?) they mumble and grunt and are hard to understand and then get snappy when you repeat something because you haven’t understood their mumbles. I’m guessing it’s hard to get good help out here. Pie was ok but service was crap.
