Psychics in the naughty corner.
The 3 of us entered your establishment today for lunch. (10 July) As there wasn’t anyone to meet and greet us at the front door of a non crowded cafe, we sat ourselves down at a table near the window that could seat 4 guests. We wanted to show our interstate visitor the warmth and charm of country life in Victoria. A waitress approached us and questioned us about our number of guests and we informed her that it was just us 3. She mentioned that we had sat ourselves down at the table and also informed us about a “sign” at the entrance asking to “please wait to be seated”. The 3 of us checked for this “sign” and didn’t see any such “sign” Apparently, we were meant to know that there was a “sign” there! We checked again upon our exit and still found no “signs” whatsoever. The response was lukewarm and we were all told we should vacate that table and be relocated to a table that accommodates 3 guests! Not the table beside it. (Table #3) Oh no, that would not be that simple! How about showing us table #9 right down the rear of the cafe and beside the door to the toilet! It was cold and breezy and totally unnecessary. We then had our coffee order taken care of and after receiving them, we were told that she would be coming back for our food order. So after finishing our coffee and waiting approximately 20 minutes, we decided that it was time to leave. Exiting from the cafe, we observed that there still wasn’t any guests seated at our original table. Our visit left us with a feeling of frustration as the service was appalling and unacceptable. We have visited Little Vic’s before without any fuss. We cannot work out why we were relocated as there certainly wasn’t any crowd during our visit on a rather cold winters day. Our interstate guest wasn’t impressed either.

Read moreTried this little cafe for lunch on the way to Gisborne. Thankfully booked as no tables were available as we arrived at 12:30. Staff advised when taking a coffee order that there was a backlog and it wouldn't matter if we ordered now or 5 mins it will take the same time. Unsure what that meant so we ordered straight away. Food took 45mins to come out so be aware during peaks it can be a long wait. Menu is varied and the kids pasta, coffee, smoothie, chicken burger were all delicious and well presented. Unfortunately the pulled pork sandwich contained sliced pork and the crackle was just chewy fat, made it not so nice at all. Assume they didn't get the pork to all pull and were running low on crackle. Best to explain this not put chewy fat in the sandwich and ruin it. Staff were lovely. Overall I'm sure when less busy a...
Read moreI recently had my engagement party at Little Vics and had hired out the venue for a Saturday night. It was everything we could've wanted and more! Angus, the cafe / restaurant manager was so accommodating and kept us in the loop up until the night of our event. It was very easy and stress-free through Little Vic's as they had a great selection of cocktail food, beer & wine, and even organised the cake and made this in-house. Angus and the staff were so lovely and we could not have been happier with how our event turned out. It was big enough to hold 100 people but also felt cosy with the beautiful fairy lights on the open beams of the ceiling. If you are looking for a space for your function, this is 100% the...
