Our family got together this week to celebrated Mums 88th Birthday, we arranged to meet at 11am at this Cafe, we were coming from far and wide, so held off ordering lunch until they all arrived, around 17 family members in total. Coffees were purchased in the interim, at 11.40 assuming the manager, very abruptly asked us when we were ordering lunch as she wanted the table freed up for other customers to use. We politely said we were waiting for 2 more family members to arrive, which they did, all meals were ordered before 12am My filo pastry was to come with a salad, the salad consisted of a handful of mixed lettuce and a little dressing, that was it. Very, very mediocre. As for the other staff that were rostered on, thank you for doing your job well in showing us good customer service. 💜

And just for the record there were spare tables when we arrived and also when we left, which incidentally wasn’t long after the last meal had been...

If I could give less stars I would. My daughter was abused by a staff member/?owner here over a cushion.

We popped in here as a family for an overpriced lunch and cold coffee and our toddler was playing with a decorative cushion on the floor and it got dirty. We acknowledged we should have intervened, and apologized immediately. We said we would pay for the cushion. One of my daughters was confused as to why the woman was so angry, we all were, and the woman got right up in her face and spoke aggressively towards her. I’ve never seen anything like it.

All four adults in our group were instantly horrified that she would speak like that to a child… over a cushion. The woman then doubled down insulting all of the parents and children.

I declined to pay for the cushion in the end as it became clear that the dirtiest thing in this cafe was the staff members attitude...

We came in hoping for a beautiful lunch to celebrate Mother’s Day. I was shocked by the way I was treated by a staff member/owner just by simple asking if she could please help clear the table from the previous guests. She replied “when I’m ready”. The rudeness didn’t stop there. There was 6 of us and only 5 chairs so I went looking for an extra chair. As I was about to make my way back to my table with the chair, she aggressively grabbed the chair out of my hand and screaming in my face “YOU CAN’T TAKE THIS CHAIR”. She was so angry towards me. I still don’t know why. It’s just uncalled for. My mum and my three young kids were horrified. Mind you at this point our table is still full of dirty dishes and we haven’t got a chance to order anything. I then grabbed my family and got out of there. Very disappointed we didn’t get to celebrate...

Loch Village Foodstore is set within two gloriously renovated old shopfronts. Decor is charming and quite welcoming on a sultry Summer afternoon. There's loads of choice in tables both outside and inside. On a busy market Sunday about half the tables were full. Ordered the roasted veg sandwich and egg/bacon roll. Roasted 'veg' was sweet potato with olives..not quite what I'd expected for $17.00 (including surcharge). Food menu is quite extensive (maybe too big to keep quality?). Service was helpful.10 percent surcharge on weekends.

Wednesday wasn’t a good day in Loch, they are more like a weekend town, more business open on the weekend. We had some pei here in the food store, they are bright, space are huge, selling some snack and muesli. Had chicken pie and chicken filo, and pumpkin soup. They are tasting pretty good. One Portion is definitely enough for one adult.

Cosy cafe in the beautiful town of Loch. Yummy treats and good coffee n chai. The staff were friendly and cheerful. You need to go to the front counter to order. The food and drinks arrived quickly And they have a fireplace to keep it cosy in the cold of winter. Recommended
