The name of the bar caught the interest of our group and we looked them up and all appeared normal.
Went there with families to find that its nothing as listed online. It's barely star wars themed, it has a few items that tie it into star wars and that is it, I would consider this place to be more of some persons attempted Man Cave Bar/Cafe then star wars. The inside area is off-limits to all children, which makes this an anti family place to visit, as the children are not allowed to use the facilities located inside the shop and instead have to go to the Woolies across the road to use toilets.
Even just holding the door open for kids to even just look inside without stepping in you get yelled and screamed at by the staff.
Staff themselves with attitude and rude, we ordered food and drinks, when the woman who made the food came out in singlets and shorts to cook on the grill, wearing no food handling PPE. No gloves, no apron, nothing, and while cooking giving people death stares at tables. After that we left. The atmosphere of the place is horrible and clearly suits the attitude of the workers/owners...
Read moreWe are on holiday here and on our first day we were looking for something quick to eat before our busy time ahead. We went to the shop and were instantly greeted by the friendly chef, however once we got to ordering the lady at the counter was nothing but rude. Both her and the chef went on to explain that they would not removed anything from the burger that isn’t dietary and that having an autistic chef was the reason why and then went on to condescending us describing it through an analogy using my partners name as an ‘example’. As my partner too is autistic, and in flipping the roles, the reason he did not want something was too due to his autistic traits of having a fear of a certain food item. Instead of just explaining that they wouldn’t make changes and leaving it at that we were kept for a longer than necessary time leaving us both uncomfortable and my partner feeling bad about himself. I would not suggest going to anyone, we had absolutely no issue with them not altering their menu - it was the response and use of neurodivergence in such a way to which was...
Read moreWalking down the main street of Cowes we were hit with that alluring aroma of bbq wafting through the air, mouth watering! We let our noses lead us to a small street cafe where the guy on the bbq (Chef I guess) gave us a big smile and welcome. The delicious smell was coming from the mince patties and cheese sizzling on the hot plate, Rob, the chef, suggested we try the burgers, keep it simple he said, let the ingredients sing. So as my girlfriend and I took our first bites from our burgers sing they did, we both agreed the best cheese burgers we had eaten, simple just fresh bread rolls, pickles, mince patties, melted cheese oh and crispy bacon. maybe some other secret ingredients WOW Thanks so much, keeping it real, keeping it delicious. Yum Oh and their menu was far more comprehensive than just a burger and I’m sure all their food and beverages are great too.
Update! Was so good we went back again for another cheese burger the following day, was just as good as...
