Tandoori Hut Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Victoria

We were driving back from the Snowy mountains in NSW to Melbourne. So this restaurant was appropriately on our way back for dinner at 7:00pm. We entered and were seated. I was with my 2 year old son and my wife. We ordered our food. Since we had to drive back we wanted to eat and head back without a lot of delay.

Since my toddler was curious, we were watching the chefs work hard in the kitchen. So I was curious why despite them being super efficient have we not got our food. The lady at the counter said that they are very busy. I could see them giving take away orders at amazing speed.

After 45 minutes of wait, I said you are just serving up take away and making us wait unfairly. If we were informed of the wait times, we would have chosen to eat elsewhere.

I requested her to just give us rice so that my toddler can eat, but she said if you are not taking the rest of the food, then I cannot give you rice. This was petty and the lady at the counter was being unreasonable about her expectations. I registered my displeasure walked out of there. We ended up going to Woolies and fixing us a meal.

I am writing this review for the lack of disclosure in wait times before seating us down -- clearly bad management. I have no opinion...

I wish, the rating had negative rating, i would not hesitate to give you negative rating. Very poor service, super bad attitude. We had to walk out half-way through our meal as they were not able to make rotis. We were burnt tandori roti and told, that is paratha. We were told, we can only have burnt roti as they dont have staff to make non burnt roti, "it is what you can get". Dont go guys, better try your luck somewhere else. Disappointment!!!

Replying to your comment on my review, your staff very well reflect the attitude you showed towards my comments. We have dined in way better restaurants than yours, worse than those trucks and stalls on roads so keep your judgements of where we have dine in the past to yourself. Try to improve your quality and services, we came to your restaurant with open heart and mind but the way you responded speaks enough about the future of your restaurant. We are not interested to dine in your place ever again, we prefer food trucks and roadside stalls which have better attitude and respect towards their customers. Goodluck with...
