I’ve only used the take away service so far, but I can recommend the food. Everything we’ve had has been great.

12/10/2024 One year ago I gave a review on this restaurant. I had only used it for takeaway at that time. Tonight I ate in and took some guests with who said they were unhappy with the restaurant from a couple of years ago. I told them they were wrong and took them for a meal to prove it. In brief, we booked for 6.30pm. When we sat down there were two ladies already seated on the opposite table. We were left there with just a glass of water until our meals arrived. Our meals came out an hour and a half later. Each meal arrived 15 minutes after the other, quite simply…we all ate separately. During our wait, not one time were we approached by staff to see if we wanted anything, another drink perhaps. The two ladies on the opposite table who had been seated when we walked in, were given their meal at the same time as our last meal was “thrown” on the table by a young waiter. These ladies must have waited 2 hrs. The people behind us asked a staff member not to bother with certain items they had ordered as they’d finished and those items had not yet arrived. They were very dissatisfied. As a our evening ended a very embarrassed young waitress apologized for the service. The staff were young people with absolutely no training. The poor attention to the customers was not their fault, they tried hard but just didn’t know what to do. My friends gave me the “I told you so” speech as we got in a our car. Just listening to the conversations at the closest tables I reckon there were about 8-10 people there that won’t be back. That’s a lot of customers to lose. And I’m sorry, my wife and I are 2 of...

Had reserved a table for 4, went in, and people waited in the tiny front space. Told by a waitress after given our name and told go around to the windows your table is I'm the corner. So in we go. We had our drink as it was a BYO. After 20 minutes our friend had to go and ask for the glasses and also water for the table. Then we waited and once again we had to ask if we could order our meals. (5 of them). After waiting over an hour 1 dish came out it was a beef satay ( not sure where the satay was) my friend tasted a carrot which was just Luke warm and so hard , don't think it was even cooked. Then, after a further 15 minutes, another dish arrived. We were literally dumbfounded as our friend went over a third time and asked where our other dishes were only to be told they cook them one at a time. He was told what happens when the 2 dishes we have go cold. The answer was "we can reheat them for you." We waited a further 10 minutes no more dishes came yo the table. Our friend went back and told the owner we were leaving as it was very poor service and not good enough that we were receiving our meals all at different times. The owner apologised and then asked if we'd like takeaway aggrrr. We'd still have to wait because the other 3 dishes still had to be cooked. I honestly can't think of a place where we've had to walk out. Very poor service nil star. We èn̈ded up having to order Pizzas. There were a few people outside obviously waiting for takeaways, and there was a guy still waiting for his when we left. I'm betting he would have walked away, too, if he hadn't already paid. Dined here after a day fishing 22/07/2023. Had the Banquet A. Pleased to say every serving, from the prawn toast, and spring roll to the chicken and corn soup, to the mains and dessert was superb, and I told the owner as much. Mains were fried rice, lemon chicken, and garlic prawns and vegetable, with fried rice. They managed to crisp the lemon chicken coating whilst keeping the chicken deliciously soft and moist which is not easy to do. The service was also impeccable with the young waiter and waitress doing a wonderful job. Some of these local places are really struggling, it wasn't very busy on a Saturday night, but it is the middle of winter. Need to support these local businesses to keep them going....
