Three Double8 Zero Pizza Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Victoria

If I could give a zero star.. I would!...DISGUSTING Over salted supposedly 'gourmet' PIZZA & DISGUSTING RESPONSE FROM MANAGEMENT!..My elderly Mum ordered a 'gourmet' pizza this evening...Has done so in the past ( Giving this local a go to again & again!)....Ingredients as 'stated' on the 'gourmet pizza takeaway menu wearnt even on the pizza!..

My Mum rang and the staff member, spoke to the 'chef' whom said ..'Too bad... We couldn't get the Ingredients!'.. Wtf?!...

A person orders what is on the 'menu' to be given something else?!... ... My Mum is a local from Newlands Arm... We have a holiday house we rent out.. We usually advertise this resturant....We have had in the past had such a great experience with Three double 8 Zero when they first started..CHANGED Management???. Not sure...BUT this is NOT on!... Even last time we came down we could see this resturant had gone down hill SO BAD.... 😞 I rang and spoke to the 'Manager' ...He did NOT CARE AT ALL!!... OFFERED APPARENTLY 50c back to my elderly Mother as reimbursemen for the ingredients they had advertised on the menu but gave her nothing to what was 'advertised!' 50c!!.. What a joke!!....HE than hung up the phone on me!...( Im not one to 'complain otherwise...It takes alot from me to say something!' ...Just had now SEVERAL bad experiences at this restaurant in Paynesville which is a real shame...Disgusting the 'chef' did not succomb to my Mum who came back from a 3hr drive back to her home from ours... Only wanting a good quality 'gourmet' pizza as advertised..Not on!...My Mum rang and said something after getting home only to discover what she 'thought' she had ordered was nothing like what was what menu stated. I too rang knowing my Mum cannot afford such a luxury but did so and was So much looking forward the 'gourmet pizza' she saw advertised on the menu.. Managers /chefs ( Not sure) response to me was 'Well...If she didn't like it then should have not brought!'... Well.. She wouldn't have if she had known!! If you cannot supply then its an easy fix... 'Take it off the menu!'...My Mum ordered what was 'advertised'!.. Did not get this.... My gripe more is the way my beautiful Mum was treated over the phone...And also after myself calling ( non aggressive) as management made out.. ( That made me even more upset!)...

Boathouse Pizza Bar and Grill!!!! Ok let me just say something, I rang and booked a table for Two on a Saturday night as I assumed this place (from reviews) would be a buzzing lively place. Arrived at 7:00pm to be the only people in the place!

greeted by a young man who seemed to be pinging off his head on some chemical substance as he was sweating and his eyes were dilated and he couldn’t stand still! We were seated and given some menus and told straight up that we weren’t able to order cocktails or other fancy drinks as he can’t make them, also coffee was a no go!

After about 15mins our waiter returned and I asked the question. “Um this place is called a Pizza Bar and Grill, there is 4 basic pizza choices only and not one item available that would even be remotely grilled. No steaks, no beef burgers, nothing. All we had was a few boring pasta options and the rest was Indian curries..

The waiter stated he had many times argued with the owner/ chef about food options available but he won’t listen.. the. He said he could ask the chef if he could do a steak for me, Wtf!! If there is no steak on the menu where is he going to get it from? Clearly it wouldn’t be a nice fresh cut from the fridge!!

so after another 10-15mins when the waiter had not returned we decided it was time to leave. We went to the Chinese restaurant 2 doors up, place was packed but they accomodated us and the food was amazing..

Avoid the boathouse curryshop.. it’s nothing like advertised online. owner needs to take a good hard look at himself and wake the hell up, small town...

My colleagues and I were staying in the area for work and were recommended this restaurant by a local colleague. Firstly, the online booking system is clunky. Our first attempt to book was never confirmed. We booked again and it was accepted. The first booking was eventually rejected. On our arrival, we were advised multiple menu items were unavailable. Yeah, this happens. On reading the menu, which was pages of pizza and pasta, I was perplexed as to why the name of the resultant has ‘Grill’ in the name- there was not a single burger, seafood item or steak on the menu. The pizzas were nice from what my colleagues said. The rest of us ordered Parmas. What I will say is the cook needs to lay off the salt!! Wowsers. The amount of salt used in the meals was phenomenal..the cook needs to taste the meals. One meal was shy of inedible. The main waitress who assisted us was friendly. And I’ve no doubt having to come back to us multiple times to explain ‘sorry..that’s not available’ would have been frustrating or embarrassing. There was also a second staff member that approached us like she just rolled out of bed and grunted at us…not great. Would I return?...
