V N Rolls - Bakery & Cafe — Restaurant in Victoria

Usually the pork rolls from here are top notch and they certainly pump out out plenty of them to very happy customers. So was a bit bummed on my last visit to find from the first bite, the roll was a bit chewy, was then surprised by a hint a chilli (not ordered) and some of the pork was charred. I will say, I wasn’t bothered in the slightest by the price increase. Totally understandable. Will put this down to a dud roll 😉 in the chaos of the lunch time rush and hope my next one is back to their usual high standards. EDIT: Tried a Pork Roll again but again was disappointed. Sadly, it’s just not what they used to be. Roll was somehow kinda chewy and pork was a tad dry and again with this bloody hint of chilli when there was meant to be no sauce on my order 🙃 Look, they’re lovely people and the place is bursting with people ordering Pork Rolls come lunch time, which they churn out at record speed for a reasonable price but clearly they’re not my cuppa tea, so I’ll stick to getting my Banh Mi fix...

Little hidden gem , the pork and chicken rolls are heavenly. Don’t let the que discourage you from ordering , they prep those rolls so quick. Well worth the short waiting time. Staff are amazingly efficient and friendly. Fresh ingredients. Do yourself a favor and let them add chilli to your rolls , absolute party time for the taste buds .
