The true test of a good business is how they respond when there is a problem and this cafe is a major fail. This place used to be so good. Sadly that is no longer the case. Various members of my family would gather there 2 - 3 times a week and there's a lot of us. But no more. On our last visit there were only two of us, we were asked to pay upfront - hadn't come across that before and we soon found out why when we waited well over an hour for our food - No apology what so ever. One of the drinks never arrived and we had to chase it. No apology. Then one of the meals contained a long black hair that was near the bottom of the plate under most of the food and the eater has fair hair. (In times of Covid this is not okay) But Guess what - No apology at all. The service which was once great is now abysmal and the good food doesn't make up for it. This is the third awful experience in a row at this cafe. So 3 strikes. The time before they didn't write down our booking - again this was somehow our fault - we'd booked wrong - (I don't know how because we rang up and booked over the phone) they were very rude and whilst being rude seated people with no booking over us who'd had our booking stuffed up by them. Of course there was no apology. The time before that the wrong meals and drinks came out and again the answer was that we'd ordered wrong. Nothing at this place is ever the fault of the owner or staff. You the customer are always the problem. So we won't be going back and I really hope the owner learns some customer care skills because this business is dependent on return local customers and in Ballarat word...

Read moreWe went to visit here this morning while shopping. There were three of us for a coffee. There were three tables being used with plenty spare.
The waitress wanted to put us on a table in the middle of the Cafe. We asked to be seated on one of the tables with benches. These are located near the windows with the sun streaming through but we were told no as there were three of us
We were shown to another dark table in the middle. We requested again for a table with benches but again were refused.
We then left.
Absolute joke. Perhaps if the Cafe was teaming with customers then it would make some sense, but in a nearly empty room what's wrong with sitting somewhere warm, comfortable and inviting.
You've lost a...
