Stockland Wendouree underwent what customers anticipated was going to offer a much wider variety of stores and recent couple of years. Unfortunately if it still doesn't come close to offering the shopping experience and variety of stores found in Melbourne and certainly can't compete with the ease of online shopping. A city the size of Ballarat really needs to pick up its game if it wants to get local & regional customers to shop in the city. The shopping on offer in the city centre is diminishing, with increasing numbers of empty stores. There are still many customers who aren't able to shop online and many others who prefer the experience of actually shopping in store rather than guessing sizes, paying shipping, waiting for deliveries and having to imagine how clothing is going to look on their body as is the case with online shopping. I feel many owners of stores panicked when online shopping became an option. Of course many shoppers were attracted to this new phenomena initially, however many have been disappointed for many reasons, some of which I have just mentioned above. If the owners of bricks and mortar stores had become a little more creative when online started many shoppers would have remained loyal or would have returned after experiencing the drawbacks and frustration that can come with online shopping. Instead many store owners panicked and closed up shop literally. Our city centres do not need to be dying, they just need business owners with the creativity and ability to offer customers an enjoyable, hands on shopping experience with quality customer service offered by well trained staff and an environment which will develop a relationship with their customers that will result in...
ย ย ย Read moreGreat shopping centre lovely and clean with a good variety of clothing, shoe, variety, hair, bakery, jeweller, shaver shop, and food centre.... only downfall there were no Banks, only ATM's that charge nearly $3.00,( I ran out of cash after finding too many bargains...) I was very disappointed to find my only other choice was buying something at Woolies to get their limit of $200..... that wasn't going to happen either it could end up more expensive than the thieving ATMs.... So just be aware of that if you pay cash NOT plastic..... Their are not too many food choices like the big centres, and happy to say no Macca's or KFC/Hungry Jacks a bonus for mums and dads, ๐The public amenities have always been spotless when I have the need for them....plenty of parking also... Over all Centre Management need to up their game and insist on Bank ATM's that don't cost us at all..... I am grateful I did not see one shop that refused cash, โค๏ธโ๐ฅ didn't go to every shop either...Could have given โญโญโญโญโญ for a smaller shopping centre except for lack of amenities that don't require a purchase...
ย ย ย Read moreAs a developer they are unprofessional & deceitful. We bought block of land from them. Before settlement, we asked to reinstate pegs and clear the block of grass on which initially they said will take 2 weeks but when I stated itโs not good enough our conveyancer let us know that they have done it all on day after settlement on 5th of February, but it was a lie. Nothing was completed. They give โrebatesโ or โdiscountsโ to some owners but not others which is totally unfair dealings. They allowed next door developer to encroach in our land by 3m during settlement and after until we pointed out on 6th April- 2 months after. When I voiced my concerns it took them 2.5 months to get back to us and they canโt find our requests and that they are not at fault. Letโs see about that as we have documented everything- dates, photos and all correspondence. Definitely will go further to get equal treatment from them because everyone is entitled to that! Company has no integrity and honesty. At least other developers either offer discounts to all or no one. Very disappointed! STAY...
