The food in general here was okay, but the service and atmosphere of the place was horrid. The man at the front was so disrespectful and extremely inefficient. I came with a large group of people, and as the space here wasn’t big, we had to move some tables. He offered a suggestion where we would sit separately -which wasn’t too much of a problem, but we just suggested another idea and the man told us we weren’t listening to him. The disrespect was insane as we were just suggesting another idea. After this he went off to taking other customers orders when we were still talking to us saying “one sec”. Since the tables weren’t moved yet we had to stand there awkwardly for about 10 minutes until the tables were moved.
When we were ordering the food we asked a simple question whether the “cry tiger” dish would be spicy or not as some people in the group couldn’t eat spice and his response was “well yes obviously, it’s called a cry tiger”. The tone of his voice was so rude.
After we ordered, he didn’t even remember who ordered what so he had to call out the dish name and ask who ordered it. Which ruined the atmosphere of the conversation. Not only this but as he was putting down the food he said “tell this lady to move so I can put this down” several times. He could’ve just went around her not bothering her but he had to tell her to “move”. PS: The lady was sitting down.
The food also took so long to come and others got their orders before us when we ordered first. We waited for the food for nearly an hour.
The plates and cups weren’t very clean either. The cups had slight food scraps on the sides and some of the plates had some rice stuck on them.
That man also did not serve us any water, we had to go and get the water ourselves because the man never responded when we called him several times.
This review is a combined response from everyone in this large group who came, and we all came to a conclusion, We highly do not recommend...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant yesterday afternoon and unfortunately had an unpleasant experience due to the unprofessional behavior of the man at the reception. When we arrived, we politely asked if we could sit at a specific table for four, but the man responded rudely, saying, “No, you cannot,” and pointed to another table while stating, “Or there,”. We assumed this was a sarcastic remark and laughed, but he immediately gave us a serious look and harshly said, “Don’t laugh. It says reserved.” From where we were standing, we couldn’t even see the small reserved sign on the table, and the alternative table he pointed to had no such a sign. It was only after we moved to another table that he placed the reserved sign on the second table he pointed at. Additionally, we were also ignored for service after sitting down, and despite waiting for some time, no one approached us to take our order, which led us to leave.
It was especially disappointing to witness that this staff member was noticeably more polite and accommodating toward other customers.
Our main issue wasn’t with the reserved table itself but it was about the unprofessional and biased treatment we received, which was far from acceptable. The staff member displayed a lack of professionalism and courtesy, which made us feel unwelcome and gave us the impression that his behavior toward us was racially discriminatory.
We hope the management will seriously address these concerns and work towards ensuring all customers are treated with fairness, respect, and...
Read moreReview This restaurant is a health and safety concern and I would highly recommend all with allergies/ intolerances to stay away!! My family called up prior to visiting nanas Thai to check that the restaurant could cater for my brothers allergies before making a booking. The man ( owner ) left us feeling highly reassured that even though he has allergies to eggs, peanuts and dairy they would cater for him. Upon arriving at the restaurant my brother ordered first asking which dish would be able to be made for him in which he suggested satay chicken in which the first ingredient is peanuts. Which was red flag number one we then asked about the pepper chicken as in the ingredients listed on the menu there was nothing he couldn’t have alongside that he ordered the pad see ew which was recommended by the owner as he reassured us it was safe. We then asked wouldn’t it contain egg which he is not allowed so he went and got the noodles and we checked, they did not contain egg. The dish then came and my brother dove in very excited that he was allowed a Thai dish. After he had eaten several mouthfuls I had a look and to my horror there was egg all through the dish. Horrified we told the owner in which he said “ your mistake my mistake” in response to this we paid immediately and left as my brother had to have an anthehisteme and be under supervision. While the food flavour was good all of it was put to waste and the night ended with my brother falling asleep with a epipen next to his bed in the case that he would...
