We are loyal customers who average spend of $300 a week visiting daily for the past 10 years. Will be customers no longer. Staff have no knowledge of the concept of providing good customer service. No service with a smile. Impressions are it is an inconvenience to serve you and take your order/money which contributes to paying their wage. Staff are borderline rude, have no knowledge of menu or pre-made items being sold. This could be attributed to the high turnover in staff which shows in their attitude and behaviour towards customers and giving the impression they donโt want to be there. Take no pride in appearance wearing tracksuit pants and hoodies, not the appearance you would expect in an overpriced boutique cafe. You request and pay for a bottled drink and then provided a can, when you query this youโre told they have no bottles and not even given the option if you want a can instead. The pre-made items mentioned can sit in the fridge for days on end. You would expect them be freshly made daily but this is not the case. The pre-made items are not labelled with ingredients so again have to ask staff who again have no idea. The same with pastries that sit in the fridge for days and are almost double the price you would pay at the bakery that supplies them. Coffee is inconsistent and a hit and miss. Order a cappuccino and get a flat white. Eggs are precooked, if you want runny yolks you have to specifically request this and even then it is a hit and miss and zero care factor of chef is proven. Unfortunately this cafe we attended every day has changed since new owners came onboard but not for the better. The care factor of the owners is absent. Often Food comes out before drinks. High turnover in staff who lack training and have no no customer service skills, increase in prices, inconsistency in coffee and food. We keep going back in the hope of improvements but this has not happened and this no longer gives us any incentive to...
ย ย ย Read moreMy husband and I walked in this morning and I approached the counter and said to the red haired girl making coffee โdo I wait to be seated or is it ok to grab a table ourselvesโ. She got very annoyed at me and gave me a dirty look and called out to another girl on the other side of the cafe and said help these people. I apologised to the girl who came over to sit us and said โsorry I was only asking if I had to wait to be seated as I wasnโt sureโ. She sat us down at a table. I went to the counter to order our coffees and the young girl asked me what table I was sitting at and I told her. The red haired girl made our coffees in takeaway cups and I asked the young girl who brought it over why it was in takeaway cups when they they were serving everyone elseโs in cups/mugs and she said Iโm not sure. I looked over at the red hired girl and she looked away, I got the impression/feeling we werenโt welcome and that she was very annoyed with me asking her a question as I walked in, but she was the only person there at the time making the coffees. Iโm sorry you were having a bad day or just annoyed at the customers talking to you, but as bad as your day is you still need to smile and be pleasant to the customers. By the way the coffees you made were really nice. This may sound like a minor complaint but itโs not a nice feeling to not feel welcomed and to feel you have done something wrong and imagine if more customers felt like that, you would have...
ย ย ย Read moreFood was ok, service was so bad almost bordering rude. The waitress was so disinterested that I could see her throwing the menu almost in my face. I am trying to be positive and give credits where credits due but I can hardly find anything positive apart from the fact that they are hinging onto their seemingly modern cafe outlook. The place to avoid.
Reply: I actually came back and was further disappointed by the complete utter rubbish service. One waitress walking about with zero care factor. No one greeted, I thought it was free seating. Picked a table which was dirty, waitress walked past multiple times and couldnโt care less. When I finally approached the person at the counter, she told me that there was no table service. If you want to operate like this, good luck! You have lost not just a customer I can...
