Read moreStunning location on the coast, great coffee and good food. With just West Coast Highway between you, your food/coffee and the ocean, what’s not to love?
Visited TLB on a Tuesday morning for breakfast and the place was fairly packed in the dine-in area as well as the dog-friendly alfresco area. Did not have to wait long for us to get seated. If you love a good ocean breeze and sun, definitely try to get a seat outside, facing the ocean.
Good selection of hot food in the menu. Typical brekky/brunch pricing with most dishes under $25. Coffee was beautifully poured and no complaints with the steaming of soy milk.
I was recommended to try the chicken on waffle with chilli maple syrup. Loved the maple, waffles and the side of sautéed mushrooms. The chicken, was a little dry and lacked flavour... definitely needed the chicken to be marinated a little more rather than battered and fried, or possibly use a more flavourful part of the chicken? The side of half avocado, while I do appreciate it is an actual half of an avo, charging $4 for the side of plain, cut avo is a little steep 🤔.
A pleasant experience here at TLB. Great wait staff and service. Service is quick with short wait times. The restaurant has got larger tables for larger groups as well as smaller, more intimate spots to chill.
Parking can be a nightmare as there is no dedicated parking spot for the restaurant. Street parking and a small 8 car parking lot at the rear is all there is nearby!
Would gladly return for the other dishes if I am in the area, looking for a good...

We visited Little Bay for our 10-year anniversary lunch, hoping for a special and memorable experience. Unfortunately, it turned out to be quite the opposite.
We started by ordering our daughter’s meal and two drinks. The ordering process itself was frustrating, as the waitress seemed unfamiliar with the bar offerings. When we asked for a specific local spirit to be used in a cocktail, it only added to the confusion, despite the venue stocking it.
Once seated, we waited for someone to take our lunch order. Despite the restaurant not being overly busy, no one approached us, even though multiple staff members walked past our table and clearly saw the menus in front of us. By the time our daughter, who eats quite slowly, finished her meal, we still hadn’t been able to order—over 30 minutes had passed.
As we left, feeling disappointed and deciding to cut our losses, we saw our server sitting outside eating lunch with another staff member. This confirmed there wasn’t much of a reason for the delay, especially given the low number of patrons at the time.
While they did kindly offer our drinks and our daughter’s meal on the house, the lack of service and attention ruined what was meant to be a celebratory occasion. This experience will unfortunately stick with us as the memory of our 10th anniversary lunch.
We hope the management addresses these issues, as the venue has potential but suffers from poor service...
