Where do I start? No menu on their website, even on the page that says 'Menu', but there is a menu on UberEats. But, don't bother reading the menu on UberEats as it's not the same menu you'll see in the shop. Even though the online menu had a picture of the outside of the shop, the same shop name, logo, signage, and even address, the guy behind the counter said, "No, that's a different shop".
Although he lied to us very politely, and asked if we liked spicy food, that's where the pleasantries ended as the portion served was a massive insult. The Meat Platter contained about a tablespoon of cucumber, a tablespoon of onion, a tablespoon of mushy tomato, one olive sliced very thinly, half a cup of spicy mayo, and 53 grams of chicken for $20. When you ask for a Meat Platter, you're not shopping for the salad so let's ignore that for a moment. That puts the cost of the chicken at $377 per kg. Was it fancy chicken? No. Was it cooked to order? No. In fact, there was a pile of it, about a foot high, just sitting on the griddle keeping barely warm. Based on the temperature of the chicken when I ate it, I would doubt that about 80% of the chicken in that pile was at the legal temperature for storing food.
Apart from all of that, the most surprising thing about Bentley Kebab, is that they don't sell kebabs. Not one. Although I had decided what I wanted from their UberEats menu (a mixed meat plate of doner and chicken) they sell neither doner meat or kebabs. Chicken is your only choice and you can have it in either a bun, a wrap, or loose in a box.
The only thing that was as accurate as described, were the chips. I asked for the small portion, and that's certainly what I got. Almost $7 for less than a handful of chips that were just your normal frozen fries, which were soft and mushy at the bottom.
Can I excuse all of this on them being rushed off their feet? No, we were the only ones being served. There were no excuses here, it was...
Read moreI recently visited Bentley Kebab and ordered the Shapater Roll, Creamy Chicken Twister, and Creamy Chicken Sandwich. Unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing across all items. The Shapater Roll was underwhelming from the first bite. The wrap lacked freshness, the filling was unseasoned and bland, and the overall taste was dull and lifeless. It had a soggy texture and left no impression other than regret. The Creamy Chicken Twister was no better. Advertised as creamy and flavorful, it was instead overly greasy with a synthetic-tasting sauce that overwhelmed the palate. The chicken was dry and stringy, while the rest of the ingredients were poorly balanced and felt hastily thrown together. There was no freshness or crunch just an unappetising, oily mix. As for the Creamy Chicken Sandwich, it was the most disappointing of all. The bread was stale, the chicken lacked quality, and the excessive amount of artificial-tasting “creamy” sauce made it nearly inedible. There was no attention to flavour, texture, or balance just a heavy, unpleasant combination that left me feeling sick soon after eating. To be entirely honest, the food was tasteless, unhealthy, and poorly prepared. I left not only dissatisfied but also feeling physically unwell, which is deeply concerning. For what it cost, it was an absolute waste of money. In conclusion, my experience at Belmont Kebab was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend these items to anyone seeking quality, flavour, or value. A truly unfortunate visit that I do not...
Read moreI visited Bentley Kebab and had a very disapointing meal. They don’t have anything called kebab. They don’t serve lamb or beef for the sandwiches. I ordered a chicken kebab, and they didn’t have tomatoes for the salad, nor did they have sour cream sauce for it. I only asked for onions, but they completely ignored my order and there were no onions in my sandwich. Instead, they added cucumber, lettuce, and mashed, tasteless carrots. The chicken was not grilled at all; it was just shredded, look like boiled chicken that was very dry and tasteless. The bread for the sandwich was very thick and the size of the sandwich was very small, although I did oeser a double chicken kebab, the amount of chicken in the sandwich was too little. However, the person who took the order was very nice. Overall, I definitely do not recommend. This place does not live up to the name of a kebab shop and serves more Indian food than kebabs. It...
