Birdcage Coffee Lounge — Restaurant in Western Australia

We have been going to the birdcage for many years, every second Tuesday before I fly back to work for lunch. A fortnight ago it was ok, gave it another go, and will not be going back. The new owners need to take some lessons on service. My husband and I ordered together, his came out just warm, we had to ask after another 10 mins. Mine was sitting there, so they brought it to us, cold, and no side chips, sent it back, another 10 minutes I got it. We mentioned to the owner this, who was on the coffee machine the whole time. You lost a customer this morning who wanted the full breakfast. My son went to the counter at 8am and called 'hello, what time to you open'? Someone in the kitchen looked up and then went back to what they were doing without answering. Dome got his business this morning as well as an addition coffee later in the morning while he was waiting on his car being serviced. On another occasion he purchased a steak sandwich which he said was the toughest steak he'd had in a long time. I might add that he is not a sulky child but a mature-aged man. What a shame! Was with my Mum yesterday as she came down to stay with me for a few days. Mum liked to special they had advertised beef or pork gravy rolls which mum fancied, only to be told the oven blew up, so we decided on a ham & cheese toastie for Mum and a Frittata for myself. 10 mins later the toastie came out and no frittata🤔. 3 people in cafe, about 7 staff on. So had to ask where my lunch was, 5 mins later it came out and Mum had nearly finished her lunch. Very poor service to do this to customers.
