I have to give a star to rate, but if could i would give zero stars
On Saturday we headed over to Cabin 401 Bar & Grill for lunch with our friends. We were a table of 7 and looking forward to the nice lunchtime meal. We ordered our food and drinks, which as a substantial amount, but unfortunately since my son has many severe allergies (even with trace amounts) we always take his lunch with us. This ensures we don’t have to worry about the menus and worry about food contamination etc. In this instance we had Mc Donald’s. The ordered drinks came and after delivering this, the waitress come over again and said that my sone was not allowed to have Mc Donald’s here and I explained to her about his allergies etc. But she was said it was policy and I just asked to ask the manager to come and have a chat. The manager come to the table and straight away just says he cant eat the in here and she was very rude about it. I once again explain the entire situation, but she didn’t want to know and would not consider the situation. This was medical condition not just a situation that he didn’t want to eat the food, also we had ordered any way. The more heartbreaking this for me and my wife was to see out 8 year old son crying and not wanting to eat anything, as he had heard everything and the way the manager responded affected him. We have delt with his condition for over 7 years and nowhere in Australia or the world have we ever been asked to not allow my son to eat food inside a restaurant. When I saw him cry and refusing to eat, it really made me mad, I went over and cancelled the order. The manager was not faced at by this issue and not empathetic to a kid that was crying. The issue even got worse as we had to leave and find about restaurant, my son wouldn’t even take his Mc Donald’s in there as he was so afraid the restaurant wouldn’t let him eat it there. This was unbelievable and un-imaginable that this was supposed to the level of service that was offered at this place. I thought of just writing an email to the management, but I think they would not really take action on this matter. I just want to let you know that this how customers and speciality small kids with allergies are treated Cabin 401...
Read moreWe visited your restaurant for the first time with our 2 children, we waited at the front for some time to be seated, we hadn't made a reservation but we were hoping for the best. When someone finally arrived to help she directed us to a nearly empty restaurant and advised that we could sit anywhere we like, we were very grateful to be able to get a table as we hadn't called a head, and as there was a hockey match on our children were very excited to see empty seats facing the Ice Rink. As we start looking over the menu one of your staff members comes over and very abruptly tells my children that they have to get out of their seats as these seats do not belong to that table. We advised the staff member that these chairs were already at the table when we came in, she didn't seem to care. She took the chairs, moved them to an empty table and left, leaving our children standing at the table wondering what they did wrong. Now if it is in fact your policy that these particular chairs are not allowed to be at this particular table that's fine, but firstly have the decency to speak politely to us or find us other chairs to use instead of leaving it up to other patrons to shuffle down to free up seats for us and secondly and most importantly how dare you speak to children that way!!! In what universe is it ok to address children with such matters, you speak to the adults if there is a problem!! And after all this to be treated as though we had done something wrong when we made a complaint. Absolutely disgraceful!...
Read moreMade a reservation for my wife's birthday party 3 weeks ago.
I specifically request that if I can drop off the birthday cake prior in the afternoon prior to the party.
The lady who took the reservation stated Yes, Sure and someone will be in the restaurant by 1500 and she will make a note of it.
Pickup the cake at 1430 at CBD, arrived @ Cabin 401 approximately 1510.
No one at the restaurant entrance; walked to towards the 2nd entrance, saw a sign "Kitchen Delivery". Ring the bell, a staff member came out saying he doesn't know anything about it and he couldn't make decisions.
Head to the ice skating rink recipient, I explained everything to one of the associate, she went and ask the kitchen manager, come back and stating the manager at kitchen can not guarantee the safety of the cake, since it's a Woking kitchen.
I know it isn't a big deal, and maybe the food will be delicious. But it is a very disorganized business establishment.
Will post more after…
The food is decent, and portion is big. Enjoyed the atmosphere, service is above and beyond.
Just wish the glitch did not happened.
