Gloria Jean's Ascot Drive Thru — Restaurant in Western Australia

Was lured into this store by a sign on the window that advertised a soft serve cold brew for $3.10 Went into store with 3 staff working and 1 customer trying to be served. Waited behind the customer for about 10 or so minutes while the staff were figueing out how to put the customers order through the till. I finally got to the front of the very short queue and ordered a cold brew soft serve, which was met with a blank stare. I pointed to the photo on the wall and once again the 3 staff couldn't figure out how to put the order through the till. Finally after much deliberation, the lady said that will be $5.50 thanks, to which I replied I would like a small size for $3.10 and pointed out the sign on the window. The staff member who appeared to be in a senior position came forward to the counter and said that they can't honour that price. I asked why that was, she replied because the sign was about 2 years out of date. I told her that wasn't my problem, she reiterated that she would not honour it, so I turned tail and left the store. Bloody terrible experience all in all, poorly trained and incompetent staff, and to top it all off straight up false advertising! My 2nd visit today and again disappointed. 1st visit my coffee didn't have its lids on and I didn't check and burnt myself. As I didn't check it myself I didn't complain but today I gave them another try. I asked for a hot chocolate and after looking in the display cabinets there didn't seem to be much available. The girl behind the counter Maria advised me that I could have something made. I explained that I have a gastric band and needed to have something that was toasted so it didn't make me sick. She replied that's fine we can toast any ting. I asked for a chicken and avocado tasted wrap or such like, and as long as was toasted it would be fine.

What i got was a cold chicken and avocado roll. I asked if as mentioned I could have it toasted and she said Oh yes I can do that. After less than 30 seconds I was given back the same roll warmed in a toaster the roll was slightly warm only I persevered took a few bites and threw the rest away. I have come back to work to throw it all up and drink my cold hot chocolate.

Turned up at the drive through before work to get an iced long black. I’ve had coffee from here which was really nice.

As I drove to the first window and waited I couldn’t see any one there. After a moment I drove to the next window and waited. I thought they must just be doing payment and food exchange from the final window.

The lady appeared and had the eftpos machine ready. I said “oh sorry I didn’t see you there” She snapped “just so you know we take payment at the first window”. I explained I did go there initially but see any one. She said “I was there I’m just short and watched you drive past”

If she was waiting there I would have start there to pay.

I found her exchange really blunt, rude and didn’t see the reason for her attitude.

The coffee was really burnt I didn’t end up drinking it.
