My local Hungry Jacks, havenāt visited in over a year but will be taking my business elsewhere - permanently. Absolutely disgusting experience all around.
Service from the boy on drive thru was awful, didnāt repeat my order either time back to me; upon ordering or at the window. Didnāt greet me at all, only stuck his arm out with the eftpos machine when I reached the window. Receiving my order at the next window appeared to be the manager as she was older and wearing different uniform than the boy. Again, didnāt state my order and just stuck her arm out. No smile, no have a nice day, nothing. Got home and opened my bacon deluxe to realise the state of it. Bundled it right back up and threw it in the bin. I ordered it EXTRA LETTUCE and paid the additional 25c for it too. Order was definitely correct as it had the āHā marked for Heavy on the wrapper and I was charged 10.85, rather than the standard 10.60 for a bacon deluxe (indicated in the photos). Appalling that I pay extra for it to have not only no extra lettuce (hardly fulfilling the amount it should contain normally), but contain twice the amount of mayonnaise it should! Sloppy mess.
The drive thru was not busy, only myself at the time of ordering with no queue ahead of me. I wouldāve phoned, but as the manager displayed such poor customer service just prior, I felt no point. I worked at HJās for 3 years when I was a teenager and can say confidently that I never once made a burger this sub par or provided such embarrassing āserviceā to a customer.

Today, I watched him take orders at the drive-thru while simultaneously serving me at the window, all while staying calm, focused, and polite. On another occasion Iāve even seen him jumping over the railing to get orders to cars faster when the wait times build up. That level of effort and care is rare.
Dom is always on the move, cleaning, helping the team, handling customers, and he never lets the pressure get to him. His consistency, professionalism, and willingness to go above and beyond make him a huge asset. Honestly, Iāve seen people in management roles do less.

Orange juice was riddled in artificial sweetener, had to return them and ask for plain water instead. Again, no apology just that blank stare of vagueness from staff who again, have zero customer service or care factor. Chicken strips were dried out with zero flavour. Clearly sitting in there since the morning. Crumble was not crunchy, more like a doughy texture. GROSS. they all ended up in the bin.
