Lot Six Zero – Disappointing Experience Behind the Buzz We decided to try Lot Six Zero Eatery over the weekend after hearing some good things, but unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. Parking is a bit of a challenge, especially during the week, but with nearby businesses closed on the weekend, we managed to find a spot a short walk away. The venue was busy, which is generally a good sign. We managed to find a table that needed clearing, and to their credit, staff responded promptly when asked to clean it. Our order came to $126—three coffees, a big breakfast, Turkish eggs, a chicken burger, and a chicken wrap. Coffees were quick to arrive and were, in fairness, the best part of the experience. Smooth, well-made, and served at the right temperature. Then came the wait for food. And we waited. When the meals finally arrived, things took a turn. The big breakfast was underwhelming to say the least. The pork sausage turned out to be half a sausage—literally. I’ve never encountered that before. The “eggs your way” came as a single egg scrambled and was dry and overcooked. Toast was cold, tomatoes were only cooked on top and raw underneath, and the bacon was burnt at one end, good at the other. The Turkish eggs looked like the kitchen had lost control—presentation was a mess, the toast was cold and no butter and the garlic was overpowering, and that's from someone who enjoys bold, spicy flavours. The chicken burger was decent, but unfortunately let down by a side of chips that tasted greasy and stale, suggesting the oil hadn't been changed in a while. The wrap was passable, but not memorable. Would I return? No. Dining out is meant to be an enjoyable experience—about good food, thoughtful preparation, and a bit of care. When you walk away thinking you could have done better at home, it's not a place you’ll be rushing back to. A 30-minute drive each way for this? Once was more than enough. I guess this is what happens when the boss is a way and the kids are left in charge.

Overpriced and underwhelming I appreciate that it was a public holiday, and the 15% surcharge is signposted. But I was quoted $40 for bacon, eggs and a hash brown, and a small coffee. On discovering the bacon was $10 (!!) I opted for no bacon. The food that came out was something you could have had at any roadside diner anywhere, with not even a pea shoot to justify its price. The latte was a bit weak. The long mach that appeared at the same time (which was unasked for but given the cost possibly paid for?) looked much more appealing. On the upside they have ready water for dogs, and even dog biscuits, and the milkshakes and muffins and poke bowls being eaten by others looked pretty good. So maybe try one of those- but don’t go with bacon and eggs.

Went to this place on fathers day hoping to get a table. We were lucky to find a family just leaving. The staff acknowledged us as soon as we walked in with smiles and hellos. Looking at the menu it was hard to know what to choose as there are so many options. I ordered the pancakes that were outstanding. The coffee was hot and well made. One thing i noted that absolutely blew me away was seeing the husband and wife owners walking around, clearing tables, taking orders, delivering food etc there are not many places where the young staff work well alongside the owners it was so refreshing to see such great team work. This place has a great vibe, great food and great staff i would definitely recommend to anyone.

Morning Lot Six Woke up this morning thinking is going to be a great day and thought on my way to the park to grab my usual coffee! Order put trough via text message at 9.48 am for a medium cappuccino for my wife and large flat white for me to take away. All good to this point... message was showing as read two minutes after 9.50am. As I arrived I have been told by Talia in a very rood manner that I should I pay for my coffee in order for them to make it.This was already 10.07 am, so I paid my coffee and after waiting more then 15 went to ask if my coffee is ready, again by Talia and her colleague wich I should have ask her name, not ready still and probably I would have had to wait longer. My word order should have gone trough when the message was read not when I paid. I should have come paid, grab my coffee and off I go... but NO it had to go the other way around. Arrive, line up to the queue, pay and wait for a long time to be hand you a coffee. Now, Lot Six if you are not able to provide and the service then do not advertised it. This is not the first time it happens and I feel my time was waisted. I took the time to send a message and still had to wait for my coffee more then 30 min. My coffee order should had priority, that’s the purpose of all this service. This was the last time i will be coming to you coffee place. Very disappointed as we are...

Used to love this place but seems to be heading downhill. Food is mostly excellent with a few duds that regulars know to avoid (don't get the cheesecake; you'll be disappointed). Coffee is good. Biggest problem is staff getting stressed and harried when cafe is full. Avoid the busy times, if you can. The courtyard area has been recently revamped to allow more seating. I'm not sure why the owner has done this as staff had times previous where they could barely handle the customers. Now the outside area has lost most of its plantings and consequently, the intimate ambience has changed to atmosphere of carpark. Our last visit (this Tuesday) they forgot our food order entirely due to a printer mishap. The staff member apologised (we asked where our food was after half an hour). She said food would be ready in ten minutes but we said we had to go then, due to appointments. We went to get refunded but the line was long at the register so the staff member thrust a cash refund unasked (we paid by card) into our hands and turned to help out with the line. No free coffees given or anything else to make up for the fact that we wasted our time there. This was our local cafe; starting to look around...
