Very disappointed with the bad service.
I was at the Pub on a Thursday evening.
I was walking with a friend and so we thought we'd go in for a beer. When we arrived at the pub there were some tables occupied and some available outside, where we intended to stay. We waited a while but no one came to serve us, so we thought, let's go in just to order a beer and so we chose a table outside.
It was only upon entering that we realized that we had not brought our masks, because we live on the same street as the bar and as we went out talking and walking, it was not in our plans to enter the pub. However, we realised there wasn't a single person wearing masks in the bar, just the staff.
When we arrived at the counter we were attended by a woman who said very rude where were our masks, so we covered our face with the t-shirt, apologized and said that we had forgotten to bring it, and that we were just going to get the beer glass and go out.
I asked if I could get a beer (with my mouth and nose covered by my shirt) and she told me she wouldn't serve us, so I asked if they had any masks to offer us and she said no, but another attendant who was behind (a male ) saw the situation and brought two masks for us and we thank him.
The woman came back after a few seconds and asked for our vaccination certificate, we showed up, we both took the booster shot 3x in January, but that made no difference in her care.
When my friend showed the certificate on his cell phone, she took his hand, without a request for permission and delicacy, and stamped his wrist and did the same to me.
Me and my friend just looked at each other very disappointed with the situation so I asked her what were the dark beers she would have, she kept looking at us with a disgusted face and just looked at a chalkboard in the back and said that all the beers were there. I then said okay, I will think about.
We didn’t disrespect anyone at any time and we apologised.
However, my friend and I felt very uncomfortable and he told me that he didn't want to stay there anymore, and we left the Pub without consuming anything due to the horrible service. I thought afterwards if I should have told her, or to another attendant about this attendant's behavior, but at the time I just wanted to get out of there, and also maybe this direct feedback wouldn't make any difference to her.
I wouldn’t want other customers to go through this, regardless of the situation.
I will definitely not go back, it was one of the worst services I remember receiving in a commercial...
Read moreMy wife and I one evening in March 2023 as a stop over on our way up the coast to Broome chose to have dinner at The "Mighty Quinn" a local Irish Pub located just outside of the city of Perth, in the suburb of Yokine, in Western Australia.
As two savvy travellers that usually cook for ourselves we can't help but stop for a delicious pint or two of our favorite brew, Guiness whenever a good Irish Pub is nearby. After searching Google we decided on the Mighty Quinn. We were not disappointed.
We only stayed in Perth for two nights so you might think that we would have tried a couple different local establishments but we were treated so kindly the first night we decided to return the second night too.
The Guiness pie was wonderful as were the Bangers and Mash. Their boast about the "Perfect Pour" was accurate and our Profiteroles desert was delighful.
The bartender Peter took good care of us and the manager, I think his name may have been Mike was excellent as well. The second night we were fortunate enough to meet the owner Robert who sat with us for at least 10 minutes as we told him how much we appreciated the experience.
The Guiness was excellent, food delicious and the staff members were both professional and friendly.
We love the place. Wish them all the best and will make it our business to return the next time we are in...
Read moreThis place has really gone downhill! I’ve been coming here since I was 19 years old, I’m over 30 now and felt like going for the steak medallions, haven’t had them in a while and thought I would treat myself. The sauces used to be full of flavour so I would order the garlic, pepper and mushroom sauce, which I did this time and a friend ordered the Jack Daniels sauce, the sauces were so bland and flavourless, the garlic sauce tasted like cream minus the garlic, the Jack Daniels sauce was just bbq sauce, the pepper sauce had a total of 3-4 black peppercorns (used to be a mixture as the green peppercorns I find have the most flavour) and the mushroom sauce tasted like gravox minus the mushroom, I’m assuming they are all prepackaged sauces from the bland taste, where as they used to be packed with actual ingredients and flavour! The steaks were ordered medium rare verging on rare, yet all four steaks came out cooked differently, I believe one was cooked as was asked. The place wasn’t busy so I’m not sure how the four steaks ended up being all cooked differently, I was looking forward to the steak as the waiter told us that Karl cooked a great steak which was also confirmed by the friend I was there with. Definitely not worth the $35 they charge...
