Miss Me Cafe — Restaurant in Western Australia

I’m very disappointed at what happened to me today in Miss Me. I’ve been visiting this cafe for a long time and used to recommend it straightaway if people asked me where to go locally. However, after the experience I had today, I’m never coming back and, obviously, will never recommend it again. There was a spider under the ice cream in my food, and a woman I’ve never seen there before (who I’m guessing must be some kind of owner after the horrible and entitled way she treated the usually lovely staff and customers) refused to give me a refund for the food. She told me she would give me just half because, according to her, I ate ‘the expensive part of the dish’. I didn’t. I had 2 bites of the waffles before I moved the ice cream and saw the spider, but she had the audacity to say that the spider had fallen from the ceiling. Dear whoeveryouare, if you believe dead-fried spiders can fall from your cafe’s ceiling, maybe it’s time for a good clean 😊 I only ended up getting a 20$ refund after having to fight for it. This person was so rude to me and had been previously very rude to my friends who came visit us today. I’m really sorry to see how she doesn’t care about her business or her customers and for the way she treated her staff. Rude staff member at the front reception disrespectful and publicly disgracing external stake holders by making unwanted comments even after mistake being admitted. Business must train their staff appropriately or get trained to address issues, especially most of the catering business rely on food delivery partners and courier services these days. We all do mistakes we admit and we fix them. Food must be properly packed in containers before handing over to the couriers and couriers have the responsibility that the food go in thermal bags during transportation. Poorly packed food items will cause spillage and unpleasant atmosphere both the courier driver and customer. I have no issues with this cafe neither bought food for my self but the front reception staff member's attitude must rectify properly making sure these mishaps will not happen...

Absolutely love this little gem in Aveley! Miss Me Cafe is my go-to spot for a relaxing brunch or a good coffee catch-up with friends. The location is perfect — right by the lake with a beautiful view, especially if you grab one of the outdoor tables.

The food is consistently great. Their breakfast menu has all the classics, and the portions are generous. I had the eggs benedict last weekend — perfectly cooked eggs, rich hollandaise, and really fresh ingredients. Their burgers and lunch options are also solid, and the coffee is always on point.

The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is chilled but vibrant — ideal for families, solo diners, or casual meet-ups. Bonus points for being dog-friendly outdoors!
