This morning I was having such a very horrible and terrific experience while ordering 2 cups of drinks in this coffee shop and this is gonna be my first and the last experience and I’m telling you the reason why. It was around 9:40 am this dateZ A girl with a braid blonde hair no greetings, and so not friendly straight asking me “what do you want?”
At first, I didn’t take it personally, but of course I was a bit shocked that she did not even begin to say a nice thing whatsoever in a good manner as a server or barista. Literally with no smile and no greeting and said “What do you want?”. I didn’t say anything, cus in my head maybe she just had a busy hectic day, although it wasn’t a Q at all.
So, I was waiting for my order, and around 2/3 other clients coming after me, and she was smiling and greeting them very nicely, it was 180’ contrast to what she did to me.
And then again I was trying not to take it personally, I was still thinking positive about it, because in my head maybe she was just having a busy morning. BUT as someone who used to work as a barista and hospitality worker for years, for me it doesn’t matter. She should’ve been more friendly and professional about it regardless on how I look like and whatever my race is..
The most disappointing part when she called out my order by drinks not even by my name, and she just literally placed my order on the table and just left it there, without even saw my face and even just to say “thanks” or any just a nice polite gesture and respectful word, meanwhile I was there straight at the front of them.
This is such a very unfortunate experience and very disappointing servixe that I’ve ever had in my life by just buying coffee and a coffee shop. I’m hoping that there was a camera over there to prove that what I am trying to say is all honesty with all of the evidence, but it really felt so bad to feel that way, and I am hoping that I’m the last person whoever experienced this such a very bad luck..
To that girl blonde with braid hair. I hope you read this, and I am really hoping that you treat people and or any customers equally, regardless of whatever their race are. I am feeling very sad to feel this way and I dont think that I deserve of being treated very differently and it really really sucks.
I totally understand if it was busy, but it wasn’t notZ and knowing how you treated next customers after me, greeted them, and smiling to them etc, while I had to experience such a very bad service is so pathetic.
And yes I am Asian, I do speak English fluently but it’s really hard to believe that I had to feel this experience from this place.
My iced mocha tastes amazing as well as the hot chocolate, but the service from this girl, is literally hard to...
Read moreI’m not usually one to judge from reviews, especially since everyone has different standards, but unfortunately you absolutely can trust what everyone is saying about Mooba (at least in regard to two particular workers). The coffee beans may well be decent but our drinks were made with such little care that I really couldn’t say, even as a person with minimal standards for coffee. The iced mocha was filled with clumps of chocolate powder from where it wasn’t mixed well, and both our drinks were so overloaded with ice that they came out really watery. The grilled cheese was decent but also had a hair on top from the girl that toasted it, so I’d say I have mixed feelings about the food.
While the servers were polite enough to order from, it was very clear they weren’t interested in the customers, ignoring quite a few “thank yous” and failing to even make eye contact let alone say hello to anyone. They were both on their phones when I arrived, and continually gossiping with each other while making drinks and taking orders. Whoever Celeste is, I’m sorry to say that they have your notifications muted because they find you “really annoying”. Oh, and given the amount they were swearing, I’m not sure I’d recommend bringing kids here.
Given how far back the negative reviews about these two servers go, I’m unsure how they’ve even kept their jobs this long, especially as they clearly don’t want to be working in customer service. If you want good food and coffee, just go to Pique where the staff and atmosphere are far better. Maybe Mooba could be better if its workers actually took pride in what they’re serving, but as it stands I’m not looking to ever...
Read moreMy husband and I recently moved to Wembley, and after hearing our daughter-in-law rave about this coffee shop, we decided to give it a go this week. Even though it was busy, the staff was super efficient and we didn’t have to wait long at all.
The coffee was fantastic rich, smooth, and just perfect. My husband, who’s picky about his coffee, even said it was the best he’s had in a while!
What really stood out was how friendly and welcoming the staff was. They took the time to chat with us, gave us some great local tips, and made us feel right at home.
We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend this place for both great coffee and even...
