This may well be my second review of the delightful 'Subiaco common'. It is located in the CBD Centro Heartland off Salvado Road..a street or two from Bunnings and Homebase Centre in Subiaco.
The park is surprisingly large, and consists of paths amongst beautiful trees, a large lake with a fountain in the middle, a lovely playground for the kids, lots of grassed areas, open spaces, and water features.
The paths are generally sheltered by trees, and are absolutely gorgeous for long strolls, especially during autumn and spring.
The Common is seemingly below street level. It is surrounded by Centro style homes and high-rise buildings, with views across the common area....not unlike a mini version of Central Park in New York!
I hope the photos give you a taste of this beautiful grand arboretum...
Yes..yet another 'hidden gem' in the wilds of Subi... awaiting the curious traveller...
Read moreSubiaco Common is such a beautiful and peaceful spot, right in the heart of Subiaco. I recently filmed a wedding here, and it was the perfect setting, the gardens are immaculately kept, the lake and trees add so much natural beauty, and there’s a real sense of calm and openness to the space.
It’s ideal for small ceremonies, photoshoots, or simply enjoying some quiet time in nature. The layout gives plenty of flexibility for different types of events, and the natural light through the trees is just magic for photography and videography.
Highly recommend Subiaco Common if you’re looking for a hidden gem that feels intimate, elegant, and really well cared for. A beautiful backdrop for...

The park isn’t massive, but it feels so peaceful, especially during autumn. On the other side, there’s a Heather’s Walk where the trees are beautifully lined up — it’s like walking through a quiet, leafy tunnel.
The park has all the essentials too: a playground, a designated off-leash dog exercise area (with on-leash zones elsewhere), BBQ facilities, and it’s wheelchair-friendly. There are also a few 2P parking spots around the perimeter.
Such a charming hidden gem...
