The menu is broad, spanning influences from Korea, Cantonese cuisine, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Singapore—a true fusion of East meets East. Curiosity led me to 12 Zodiac, wondering how Korean fried chicken could mix with other Asian flavours. It might seem overwhelming at first, but the best approach is to order around the edges and see what works. Turns out, everything does.
The Korean fried chicken is a standout, crispy without being oily, and the hot sauce on the side hits the perfect balance of heat and savouriness. Their house-made BBQ pork uses a mix of fatty and lean cuts, showing off a clear Cantonese influence in the kitchen. Even the wok stir-fries carry a satisfying heat without excess oil.
The setting is casual, with cool wall art adding personality. A quirky popcorn machine sits in the corner—sadly out of order during our visit. Orders are taken at the counter, and the staff are super friendly, working hard in the kitchen.
Portion sizes are generous—we ordered regular servings and still had leftovers to take home. This is the kind of place that’s perfect for a relaxed meal with family, where you can sample a mix of flavours without feeling weighed down. And like the zodiac it’s named after, there’s something here...

Read morePossibly the worst Asian food in the whole of Perth. Firstly wait times blew out over 45 minutes when originally got advised it’ll be a 15-20 minute wait. They weren’t even busy, they were standing around chatting. Finally got the food and it was absolutely revolting. No flavour for the char keow tuay and laksa. Watery and bland. If anyone rated this place more than 1 star, they clearly have never been to an Asian country to try the real deal. If this restaurant was in Asia, they would be closed down in a day. There was also 2 cockroaches we spotted while waiting for our food and flies inside the area they were making food. I’d be complaining to the health department for sure. This place is filthy and the food absolutely confirms it. No choice but to give them 1 star but really they deserve zero. Thanks for ruining our night out guys. Never to return and will be giving this feedback to all our friends, family...
