Refused to refund when charged twice! Appalling customer service, will never return.

I felt I had to write this review so another family does not experience the same. When buying lunch I was told the Eftpos machine was mucking up and that the payment did not go through - I was told to tap again. Upon checking my back account I saw I was charged twice. I contacted the restaurant, they apologised and I was told it would be reversed within 30 days and to call back if it wasn’t and they would refund me. I did check after 30 days - it had not been refunded. I called the restaurant multiple times, they never returned my calls and then I finally got through - I was rudely advised they didn’t feel it was their problem, it was the banks and they would now not refund me. I confirmed with the bank the restaurant had indeed charged me twice - but as they refused to refund me - the bank said to lodge a dispute with the bank and they would chase the restaurant for the refund. A great find for a sushi place! It's spacious inside, good vibes and good music, friendly staff. I really like their spicy tuna and cucumber sushi and chicken katsu with crispy onion sushi.
