Expect the best AT THE ODIN. Hygenic, Presentable, Professional & Exceptionally Experienced Family owned and operated business. My personal heartfelt praises go out to you all, with pride and satisfaction. Thank you.
I'd like to highly recommend You visit the ODIN, for a genuine guest experience that (for myself) has me looking FORWARDS to my next visit!
The service was absolutely top quality. Especially when I had a few exceptions and requests to my order.
My experiences of Steak sandwiches over the years - it's a bit of a gamble. This time I asked it to be separated. It was graciously laid out like an exotic platter which was quite a hock really. I was very surprised! I expected it to be kinda all squished on the side but it was all nicely laid out. The chef (and bar waitress) were being very kind to me.
I'd like to acknowledge the entrepreneur spirit, injected through the new ownership.
To enable a customer to feel welcomed and the chance to connect with someone - with a smile and prehaps, if your lucky a brief moment to talk. Yep. "That's gold".
INTERESTINGLY, this quick chat, is where I learned of the recent transition of ownership/mgt.
I now know, there is MORE than 2+ decades of experience behind the ODIN and so much more.
I am impressed with the loving strong family oriented business, forged with an attitude of gratitude coupled with solid work ethic.
My hope, is that the ODIN, will recieve you well and leave you afterwards, (hopefully) as enriched, revved up & ready to enjoy the day... and maybe also, to leave you with an experience of value, happiness and satisfaction.
Go out and enjoy your day when you leave. Keep your chin up & hopefully go forth to create your own positive experiences in the future, for yourselves and others!
Have a top experience while you're tenjoying the ODIN. Bring ya mates, or just the family.
B.T.W. I personally, am happy to answer any questions about the venue.
To finalise my review - I would like to add, I have no personal or financial investments in the ODIN. Nor did I get any kickers or whatever to say all this positive stuff. I say what I say. I mean what I mean. That's all.
I was simply a visiting guest, of a mate who wanted to watch the WFC (cage fighting on the tv's)
I first went right, and saw a fine dining seated area which had plenty of window seating, as well as centralised dining tables for groups or couples.
I was served promptly at the sports bar by a friendly service staff. We chatted briefly and I placed my order. I ordered a coke (with ice in a glass separate)and a steak sandwich. The atmosphere of the sports bar, was relaxed and at ease. Although there are toilets in the sports bar, I investigated the toilets in the foyer area.
The mens were modern, clean and well kept. I saw no rubbish on the ground both inside and surrounding the ODIN.
Parking was easy and plentiful No Accessibility issues were observed.
The drive through was easily accessable out back. Where I was privileged to meet and greet the Father - Son team - with a beaut story, loads of enthusiasm and a can-do attitude.
I will surely visit again. The ODIN deserves my positive public support because I genuinely appreciated my time with them.
I will happily return and look forwards to our next meeting! All the very very best to you...
Read moreWent to the Odin for lunch today (15th May 2021) because we hadn't been there for quite some time. Sad to say, the old owners are gone, and the new owners obviously operate with total cheapness in mind. My partner and I had steak sandwiches, because there wasn't much else to choose from. The menu has been "downsized", no more house specials, no premium Fish of the Day - just a glorified Lunch Bar with fried food galore produced from wholesale pre-prepared food, that is on hand in the freezer. The Turkish buns were inedible, the baker supplying these dreadful things should be tied up and shot at dawn for laying food baits. The steak type wasn't even listed - it was a cheap cut, beaten and pounded into submission, until it was edible. The cigarette butts littering the main doorway were a poor impression, but the lack of people in the Tavern was the most noticeable feature. Normally, most Saturday lunchtimes at the old Odin saw a roaring crowd of 100 to 150 diners. Today, we saw 6 others dining with us. You used to struggle to find a spot in the carpark under the old owners - today the carpark wasn't even a quarter full. However, the staff were pleasant, and did their best. It's just that the new owners need to lift their game and provide a vastly better menu, and much better food quality, that doesn't yell, "Cheap!, Cheap!, Cheap!". I know times are tough in the food and entertainment industry, but us diners deserve better, particularly when the Odin now charges $28 for a very ordinary Chicken Parmigiana. We won't be back until we see a substantial improvement - and it's obvious by the lack of clients, we're not alone with...
Read moreRecent new owners, and chef and menu have given this already ok restaurant a big lift. Fabulous food now and whatever meat you choose it will dissolve in your mouth. First midweek visit I ordered the Roast dinner from the seniors lunch menu. I NEVER order beef as I'm always disappointed so I I panicked a little when it was delivered, because I hadnt asked what the roast meat was. So I put my fork into the first thick slice of beef, and the tines went through to the plate. It was so tender it almost didnt stay on the fork. The gravy was plentiful and tasted fantastic, and the brocolini and roast veges were cooked perfectly, also yum. I followed that with sticky date pudding and icecream which the chef made, and it was the BEST EVER. Second trip was Monday night and I chose grilled fish and salad. I asked to swap out the chips for mash and they did so at no extra cost. Again I ate everything on my plate and still squeezed the sticky date in after it, but the standard $12 serving size was much bigger than the seniors $6 one, so I was glad to be sharing it this time. Third visit was for the Sunday Roast deal. We went at 2:30 to avoid a crowd and timing was perfect. $20 Roast deal includes a dessert. This time the meat was lamb and again it was delicious and so tender. Same perfect veges and a lamb gravy. I left nothing on my plate, so, even though the dessert was included, I had to pass. Three perfect, great value meals in 3 weeks...we will definitely...
