A Taste of Poland in the Heart of Perth!
Polish Jar is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The attention to detail in both the service and the food is remarkableāeach dish is carefully crafted, authentic, and bursting with flavor.
One of the highlights for me is their delicious meals served in bread bowlsāa unique and comforting experience. My personal favorite is the Rye Soup in a bread bowl, with its rich, tangy flavor perfectly complementing the crusty, freshly baked bread. Itās a must-try!
The pierogi are simply outstanding, with delicate, perfectly made dough and generous fillings that melt in your mouth. The bigos and golabki taste like they've come straight from a Polish grandmotherās kitchenārich, hearty, and full of tradition. On top of that, every dish is beautifully presented, making the dining experience even more special.
The restaurantās PRL-style dĆ©cor adds to its charm, transporting you straight to Poland with its nostalgic, vintage atmosphere. Itās not just a mealāitās a journey back in time.
With reasonable prices and top-notch quality, Polish Jar is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Polish cuisine in Perth. Highly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEastern Europe in the hills The entrance to the restaurant initially surprises with its simplicity and a huge garbage container nearby, but once you open the unassuming door ā it feels like stepping into another world. The interior instantly transports you to a Polish small town, as if youāve just come in after a lively drinking sesh for a hot soup. Itās clear the owners put their heart into the decor, and the proximity to the Polish club only enhances the atmosphere.
In the morning hours, it was quiet, with authentic Polish music playing. I ordered flaki soup made from beef tripe ā hearty, rich, with a generous portion for $14. The six pierogi on a white plate looked a bit lonely - I would have liked a few more. However, the compote was simply magnificent ā natural and well-balanced in sweetness. The cleanliness of the place is pleasing- not a speck of dust or a single cobweb, everything neat and well maintained. The service feels like a warm, homely comfort: they donāt rush you, nor do they push you to order; you order yourself, which creates a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Will definitely come another day, hope to see some improvement and change to a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhenever I travel around Australia I look for Polish restaurant and each time I'm dissatisfied with the food being good but not as good in Poland. Well... Until now! This place is hands down the best Polish restaurant I tried in Australia and the dumplings with cottage cheese where to die for! The service was exceptional even though they were short staffed and having private function next door. And the retro decor will take you back to how many households looked back in the 60s. Thank you for having us, the amazing feast and excellent service. Wish I could try the whole menu but we barely could finish 6 small meals that we order. I also like the idea that you offer two different sizes so for someone who never tried Polish food before (like my partner) you can just order more food samples rather one big meal and regret later if it didn't hit your pallet. You make me want to move to WA because of your pierogi! Thank you! Until...
