PORT KENNEDY FISH AND CHIPS (THE CHIPPY) — Restaurant in Western Australia

$92 for fish and chips. Just so everyone knows i have spoken with the manager there about this issue. I ordered dinner on Friday night for four adults. I was recommended the family pack and i added choice of crab sticks. I asked if it came with fish and was told it was extra...i ordered 4 shark. I asked how much (assuming it would be cheaper than 4 pizzas at $66 from dominoes) the staff member said she couldn't tell me price of my order as she was out the back. I assumed it would be $50 or so....My mum picked it up and it was $92! i couldn't believe it. I rung them in complete shock and after their service the supervisor called me back. She was sorry but was adamant that her staff had told me the family pack came with fish. I was adamant i had asked and was told no and that why i had ordered the shark because it didn't come with fish.... so ultimately there was a lot of confusion between who said what. If only the staff member had of been near a price list when i made the order and advised how much it was going to cost, it would have been sorted there and then, no more confusion. No way in my life can i ever justify $92 for fried food. fish was nice and hot, bit oily but ok. Chips were very cold and tasted like they are fried in animal lard? (might be wrong but tasted like it to me). crab sticks standard frozen sticks. mum liked her fish cake. Suggestion - PLEASE Have a price list and calculator by the phone please for future. $92 is a tonne of money for me and is a weeks worth of groceries. I only gave 3 stars as the manager actually followed up my complaint was sorry that there had been confusion...also the shark was quite nice but sadly will...

Unfortunately I am writing this review. As being in hospitality owning a well renowned hotel motel bar and bistro I am well aware of customer service and as proprietors we are obliged to make good any default we may make, which we do at times. I have just had an experience with the owner of this establishment and be it over a petty 6 squid rings it is the manner in which the issue was handled by the owner. After bringing to her attention the fact I was short changed on the order I was promptly told I would not be re imburst until a later date, being after she had viewed the cctv security cameras and checking the docket which was not available at this time. I will point out that I have been a very regular client at this establishment for many years and that there have never been any issues noting that it was a genuine mistake that could of been so easily remedied. The out burst talking over loud attitude and refusal of this owner to make good the mistake until cctv footage was viewed , again I will say 6 squid rings is more than absurd and as a consequence I 100% do not recommend this establishment and will never again offer my business to them, sadly, very disappointed...

if i could give this place 0 stars i would :) absolutely disgrace of a woman running the store this afternoon with no manners, absolutely rude, don’t come to this place, their chips were also very sup par and not fresh not worth the price and the customer service represents their food perfectly

The 1.5m social distancing rule does not account for when you live in the same household :), and we aren't talking about respecting the store rules, because if you kindly asked us to we would've done anyway, it's specifically how you talk and treat your customers, you did not greet us you quite quickly yelled at us to distance, do not ever greet your customers with that disgusting tone again, be mindful of the way you represent yourself, seems like you get a constant reviews of how bad your attitude is, look...
