Tonight we arrived for our booking for 4. We unexpectedly bought along our four year old grandson and were told it wasn't a problem for him to be there. I'm wondering if maybe It was, or if we had done something to offend the establishment because it was downhill as soon as we sat down. Our first waitress asked us if we were ready to order straight away, we said no, we'd just arrived and hadn't looked at the menu yet. Less than 5 minutes later she came back, a bit abrasive and informed us she had two big tables booked and if we didn't order "now" we'd have to wait. I panic ordered, as I hadn't really had a chance to look..fish and chips. What could go wrong. Everything. Everything went wrong. My husband ordered blue steak. Was told it would be half an hour to bring it to room temp before cooking, not a problem, It would be a half hour wait for us all to get our food. We were fine with that. What we weren't fine with was our food being cooked and left under lights for that half hour. My fish was burnt, dry. My husband's steak was rare at best, not blue. The parmi my friend ordered was soggy and the tomato sauce had congealed. My friends wife ordered the pork cutlet and was given a butter knife to eat it. Not once did a service person come to check on us ( she could have then asked for the correct cutlery.) offer drinks or make sure our table was ok. When my grandson spilt a drink, nobody came to help. We are absolutely cool with cleaning up our own mess, but my husband had to make 3 trips to get napkins to clean the table, after telling the waitress we'd had a spill she said awww and gave him a wad of napkins. Eventually a guest at our table walked to another waitress cleaning a table Next to us, and asked her to wipe down the table and chair with her cloth to get the stickiness off. As we left, my husband went to pay, and my friend ( who works in hospitality) said," I bet the kitchen tells them to not ask us how everything was." First time EVER that we've never been asked how everything was. I work in customer service, so I DON'T ever want to complain. I've never written a review for a restaurant . I'm Just so disappointed , I've eaten there before, so this was...
Read moreWe went there without a booking and so we weren't expecting anything great. However from the moment we walked in, greeted by the hostess at the booking/seating stand we were treated with the best attitude I have seen from serving staff in a long time. There wasn't a table ready but instead of just saying sorry we don't have anything the host immediately went and started sorting out a table and got us comfy at the bar with drinks.
The service was so quick but we never felt rushed. The drink range is quick large which is always good and the bar staff mix their drinks well.
We had cheesy garlic bread for a starter. I had a chicken parmigiana and my partner had the 12h slow cooked lamb shank.
Cheesy Garlic Bread- nice thick slices of bread, soft but crisp on the crust, the cheese did not over take the taste of the garlic and was all well balanced. Chicken Parmigiana- came with chips and coleslaw, very nice thick steak chips with a good amount of seasoning. The parmigiana was tender and what ever their crumb topping is, is amazing, it was crunchy and gave the Parma a very nice texture. 12h Slow Cooked Lamb Shank- came with cheesy garlic mashed potatoes and broccolini in a red wine sauce. The lamb shank was cooked perfectly! The meat was so tender and just slid straight off the bone. The red wine sauce was well balanced and did not detract from the taste of the lamb which can so easily be done by mistake.
We will definitely be...

We had such a disappointing experience dining here for lunch on mothers day. We arrived for our booking at 12.30pm and still hadn't received any food by 2.50pm. We were seated on garden furniture, metal chairs in the function room side of the restaurant which was make shift from the start. We had to call someone over to take our order then had to go to the bar to get our second round of drinks as nobody came to our table. I asked for an E.T.A on our food after 1.5 hours, we were told there were several large table before us so I asked for the kids fish and chips to come out for our 2 and 5 year old kids who had been sitting patiently all this time but getting very hungry, the waitress said she'd check and then she never came back, the kids meal didn't come out, so we waited and then after asking the manager to check on our food order about 30mins later, he didn't return so we left and ended up having Hungry Jacks because we were so hungry. Mothers day is the only day of the year were mums feels special and relax, you guys being money hungry and over booking ruined that for me and probably a lot of other mums that were there at lunch time waiting for their food. I understand there's a food wait on big days like that but that was extreme and the bad service certainly didn't help the...
