Stayed here for 2 nights 3 days with my friends and honestly happy with the stay but I’m going to talk about a problem which made me give this place a 3 star. The food at Ryan’s restaurant (on-site restaurant) is not doing justice to this place. My experience with Ryan’s restaurant food was absolutely disappointing, the food at Ryan’s restaurant wasn’t up to our standards (which isn’t fairly high). I had the rib-eye and Angus scotch fillet, my friends had the catch of the day 2x, chicken parmigiana and lamb shanks. I ordered medium rare (with mushroom sauce which was way too much needed for a steak) but my steak was well done both times and my friend who order catch of the day said the fish was like rubber and wasn’t at all fresh apparently (this was on 2 different days if you were wondering) and my other friend said that the shanks were good but too heavy with the sauce and the chicken parmigiana which was battered was soggy and not tasty at all! Also They will be a wait for your food as the reception would fall to let you know is that Ryan’s restaurant prepares the costumers food one at a time as they are low staffed. So for me and my group we waited an extra 25 mins for our food (so if you come here at a busier time like summer be prepared to wait quite a bit).
This is my honest opinion about ace accommodation as we did not have an other issue except the food. So hopefully you can find a decent restaurant without the name...
Read moreeven though I'd phoned and told them of our multiple food allergies 1 week ahead, there still wasn't too much choice on the menu for me. So the seafood platter I wanted, I was advised against, so had to choose a less spectacular dish, and there was no desserts available for me, no entree either..the staff were very inexperienced, and at best would have service ability for hungry jacks but I went home and had toast later ..really not worth going to if you have food allergies. The chef seems complacent, and unfortunately it reflects in the rather droll tasteless meal. Only choices I got was plain steak or grilled fish with a small diced salad, with no dressing or flavour. No gluten free options on the menu were available, and couldn't even get mustard for my overcooked steak. Asked for M/R, and got M/W at best. The service was totally shoddy.Had to pay for cake service( birthday cake), as no desserts were available for me, the girl offered slices on plates. Told her it was a birthday cake and want it brought out as such. It was already sliced, and after waiting 10 minutes, had to ask for cutlery to eat it . Total bloody fiasco, will NEVER recommend...
Read moreI picked to dine here as I've been here plenty of times before. The service is always pleasant, and the food is good. However, on this occasion, we were seated next to a moari couple who insisted on having a video call whilst they were disgustingly devouring there meals. Eating like pigs, couldn't even hold their fork properly, utterly disgusting. Being quite vocal as well. Whilst the service was still very well maintained throughout the night. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was somewhat non existent. Including ourselves, there was only 2 other couples. And this was a Friday night! The overall presentation of the food could do with some work, not just put in the middle to fill the plate. Having had hospitality experience myself, I knew what to look for. The lady at front of house was quite rude, couldn't even offer eye contact and deliver a pleasant smile. Our waitress was doing all the work, including taking payment. 4 people at a cost of $192.50!!! outrageous! Considering the meals weren't even top quality. I could pay less at a 5 star restaurant in Perth for that much. Wont...
