The Hale Road Tavern — Restaurant in Western Australia

I recently visited Hale Road Tavern with my hiking friends and had a great time! The food was delicious, with a range of options to suit everyone. From different types of hamburgers, to pizzas, steaks and salads, kids menu and seniors menu, our group enjoyed a variety of dishes. The beer selection was also impressive, with a great assortment of refreshments to complement our meals.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. The atmosphere was excellent, with two terraces providing ample seating and shade while the renovations and second garden expansion are completed.

Despite being a busy weekend, the service was prompt and efficient. The prices were very reasonable, making it an excellent value for the quality and quantity of food we received.

Having lived in Forrestfield for 5 years I try to support local businesses, however the prices charged at Hale Road Tavern are restaurant prices as opposed to pub prices. Went there again this week and it was freezing, made worse by people coming and going to the outdoor smoking area, surely some sort of screen could be put up. Furthermore I resent paying restaurant prices when there are people in hi-viz clothing and work boots. Why can't the back room be opened up which is more inviting. Prices are about 20% higher than those charged at a tavern in a nearby suburb.

Not even worthy of 1 star, dinner for 2 and took over 50 minutes for our food to arrive. Absolutely no apologies from the staff and they wouldn't even clear of the empty glasses of our table that were there before we even arrived. Once the food arrived once again no apologies for the delay, and they failed to check up on us to see if we enjoyed the meal. There were several tables that arrived and ordered later than us and got there food first. Do not recommend at all, never going back. Looks like I will now be going to The Shack instead.
